Which Character Meal Would You Choose?

Another vote for Chef Mickey's. They will have the seating, selection and atmosphere that you are looking for. I love the napkin dance.

You've recieved several good suggestions, I would like to also mention for tha group some fun dinners also would be the Hoop De Do Review or the Mickeys BBQ & also the 50's Prime Time Cafe. I think they should make for some good fun and great memories.

My children 13 11 and 9 all love Liberty tree tavern and crystal alace :sunny:

I vote for Liberty Tavern, and we make it a point to go there every trip. A break from the hamburgers/hot dogs/nuggets meal, with all you can eat, it is a VERY RELAXING MEAL. The characters make a loop, and often make a 2nd, sometimes 3rd trip, as they continue to walk around, as you finish your meal. A very nice family environment, and the kids have always enjoyed it.

For a breakfast, AK with Donald was quite enjoyable but VERY noisy. I find Chef Mickey's to be very noisy, as well. Both AK with Donald, and Chef Mickey's will push you to BUY PICTURES (they force you to take a picture, and then bring "the package" to your table). Some people like this, others don't. They've never done this at Liberty.

I hate when they try to push pictures on you. They should add the photopass to the character meals. Then you can look and buy without feeling pressured. Though we didn't have any problem with saying no, and I was surprised that they let you use your own camera and will even take a picture with your camera for you.

We did LTT for dinner on our first trip we had the first reservation for dinner and we got to go up on the balcony with all the characters and they annouced our names and where we were from and we got to ring the dinner bell.

A very special treat.

I thinkl the best character place is Chef Mickey's also. Great buffet something for everyone. We got the most character attention here. If you love Mickey/ MInnie & friends this is the place for you. GOod luck & have fun!

If you're only doing 1 character meal (& especially w/ your age group), I would definitely choose Chef Mickey's!

Chef Mickey's to me is just the epitome of a quintessential WDW meal (& experience). The location at the Contemporary w/ the monorail running through can't be beat, and all the "traditional" characters (Mickey, Minnie, Chip, Dale, Pluto, Goofy, Donald) are there. And the atmosphere (the napkin twirling & lively music) is so fun too!

Plus, like others have said, it's a buffet, and, most of the time, everyone can find something they like on a buffet.

Edited to Add: Because it is so popular, Chef Mickey's is sometimes hard to book w/ the time or day you want, depending on what time of year you're going. And it especially might be difficult to book for a party as large as yours. So, if you decide upon Chef Mickey's, I would suggest you call & book it as soon as you can.

CHEF MICKEYS all the way
you can also get a GROUP photo taken there. That will be pretty cool how often do you get the kids together for 1 photo LOL

I also suggest Chef Mickey's. The food is great. The kids can pick what they like at the buffet. There is a lot of interaction with the characters and some napkin dancing! So much fun for all ages.

We have done all of the character breakfasts and I got to say our favorite is always been the crystal palace, its beautiful, not that expensive and much quieter than others. Chef Mickey's is also good too.. just dont go out to the Adventurer's club the night before and have waaaaaaay to many Kungaloosh's.

What is Cape May's and are there characters at this meal??

Cape May's is in the Beach Club Resort (near Epcot). We just ate there a week and a half ago and they had Minnie, Goofy and Chip (or was it Dale  ). We really enjoyed it. They had Krispy Kreme donuts on the buffet and my kids were in heaven! The character interaction was good, all the characters came by 3 times and we got some cute pictures. We enjoyed walking around the resort, too. I'm not sure how they'd seat a huge group, though.

We've always enjoyed the Crystal Palace, but FI and I are going to try Chef Mickey's when we go in December. :)

:wizard: When there in March we did dinner @ Crystal Palace (Pooh, Tigger, Piglet). The food was very good and the kids enjoyed the characters (Tigger gets all the kids to join in a "hop" around the restaurant). The next trip in June we'll be doing Breakfastasaurus @ DinoLand AK. If price is a factor I would not suggest Breakfast w/the Princesses; very pricey and you must pre-pay. Plus it may not please the boys in the group. Liberty Tree may be fun but some of the kids may not appreciate the food as much as the adults. Figure out the kids' favorite characters and find a common denominator and go from there.
