Which Character meal to do????

Going for January 21 - 28th. Never been before and have 8 year old daughter. Hear Cinderella breakfast is most popular (but may not get reservations now) but also read that it is a good idea to do Chef Mickeys when you arrive first night to get into the spirit. Which would be better (better food, price, time, opportunity to have time with characters, etc.) or is there a better a strategy???

Any advice would help.

We love the Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom with all of the Pooh Characters. Great Food! Look up the menu on allearsnet.com You will love it! Be sure to take your camera.

CM's is a very popular choice indeed. We started our vacation at 1900 PF last summer and it was absolutely fabulous. Cinderella, Prince Charming, and the mice were present.


The food was fantastic, really one of the best in WDW. The setting is beautiful, in the GF resort, what more could yu want?

It was a great way to start off our vacation.

We love Chef Mickeys for breakfast and Liberty Tree Tavern for Dinner with characters. We went to dinner once at CM and didn't really get to see many characters, but every time we've gone for breakfast there have been a ton. During dinners at LTT we've seen the mice from Cinderella, Minnie, Pluto, and Chip & Dale.

We were just at Disney in mid-December. We were on the dining plan and were able to have some great character dining experiences. I made reservations well in advance. I'd start calling now if I were you.

We ate at Cinderella's Royal Table for lunch. It was really good and the girls were thrilled, they are 9 and 4 1/2. We saw Cinderella before we went up to eat. She was taking pictures in front of a Christmas tree. During lunch we saw Aurora, Snow White, Mary Poppins, and another princess who has slipped my mind.

We had another lunch at Akershus in Norway, EPCOT. That was really great food! The girls took pictures with Ariel before the meal. This one they bring to your table for purchase, about $31 I believe. We saw Jasmine, Belle, Aurora and Cinderella. Our waitress, Carrie, was great. We even took a picture of her with the girls!

We had a dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern. The food was really good and much too plentiful. It's all you can eat, but the first round was enough for us. We saw Goofy, Minnie Mouse, Chip, Dale, and Pluto.

We had a breakfast at Restaurantosaurus in Animal Kingdom. That was a hot and cold buffet. Very good. We saw Donald, Mickey, Pluto, and Goofy. They take a picture of you for purchase here, but it's in front of a sign and not really exciting. The atmosphere here is fun.

If you have the opportunity, I recommend going to the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater. That was tons of fun, had really good food, and my kids totally loved it. I can't wait to go back!

We did love Cindy's breakfast, and especially CP dinner and LTT dinner. So many good ones to choose from. We also enjoyed the princesses at Akershus-- though the food was not quite our type! [We did not enjoy CM dinner.]

If your 8 yr old is even remotely interested in the princesses, I would try for a meal with them...whether CRT, 1900 Park Faire or the Princess Storybook in Epcot. I have a daughter who is now 8 and will be turning 9 during our June trip. For all of her talk about no longer being interested in Disney princesses, the costume she chose for Halloween was Jasmine and her requested activity on her birthday was a breakfast to meet Jasmine (possibly at PSB)!

They grow up so fast! Our upcoming trip may be the last that she's interested in princesses.
