Chip and Dale or Minnie?>> We're going with 2 girls, 5 and 2. And FOUR adults.

Any suggestions... those are my choices right?

I prefer Chip and Dale at the Grand for 3 reasons.

1) The food is really good, adults will most likely enjoy it.

2) You can order off the menu instead of being forced to do buffet. This cuts our character meal price in half or more!

3) I love the Grand and the atmosphere especially early in the morning. The breakfast is fun with lots of character interaction if you go early, but it is still low key and not in your face.

Both are great, but Storyteller's is my fave!! Have fun!

Another vote for Storytellers!! The food is fabulous and because both times we had the first seating, we were able to sit by one of the fireplaces and have fantastic character interaction. The theming is gorgeous! It is by far our favorite!!

So which characters are there? I'm thinking that chip and dale aren't some of my children's favorites... are there others?

Those are not your only choices. There are 4 breakfast choices, and a couple lunch/ dinner choices.

Of the two you listed, we like Minnies at the Plaza, it has the best character interaction and selection of the two. The food maybe better at Chip and Dales/ Storytellers.

The other choices you didnt list are: Goofys at the DLH (brunch or dinner- with just a short time in the middle that they are closed), Lilo and Stitch breakfast a PPH, and Ariels (Princess lunch or dinner) in DCA.

Some of the other characters are Terk from Tarzan, Brother Bear's Koda and Kenai, and one other that I usually see but is escaping my mind right now! I will go look through some pictures. Basically it is a lot of Forest Critters from different movies.

Okay didn't have to look, I just thought of it. The other one is Meeko the raccoon from Pocohontas. All your basic forest friends, and they really are nice and squishy to hug! We have some of our best pics from these breakfasts.

How about Lilo and Stitch at the Paradise Pier Hotel? It's our favorite breakfast. The food is very good and the character interaction is the best! We saw Lilo, Stitch, Goofy, Max, Daisy, and Minnie. My niece got to play musical islands (think musical chairs) with Stitch and when it came down to her and one other girl Stitch took off running around the place and they got to follow and chase him. He was crawling under empty tables and my niece followed him. It was so cute. She also got to hula with Lilo and Minnie.

We've done all of the character breakfasts and this is by far our favorite! Our order of favorites would be:

#1 Lilo and Stitch
#2 Goofy's
#3 Minnie and Friends
#4 Storytellers

Have fun whatever you decide!

So okay... I'm thinking this through. We have paid for breakfast once, one Disney Princess Dinner or Lunch, and One Dinner Goofy's kitchen. So we'll do the princess for lunch, goofy for kitchen and then it's the breakfast we have to decide...

So Lilo, Minnie, and Chip.

I'm leaning toward Chip now... but Minnie is a close second... mainly I'm after good character interaction...

I tried the character breakfast for Minnie & Friends on Main St. and the food was terrible. I LOVED the character interaction (which is basically what you're paying for) but the food was lousy. :guilty:

We like Minnies. I didnt think the food was lousy. I like that its a buffet, but that its not a "help yourself" set up. I have issues with other people touching my food, kids coughing/ sneezing on the food or their hands- you get the picture. LOL The interaction was wonderful. Better then we had at Goofys.

I have not had breakfast at Storytellers, but I've heard the interacation is much more low key. And the characters are not as well known as the ones at Minnies.

okay... so we had decided on Minnies. BUT I called and found out it's in the park, so no seatings until 10:10 when they open. I'm not sure I want to use park time to eat (especially since it would be early and we seem to get so much more rides in the am)... so where could we do breakfast earlier???

Lilo and Stitch... what could be more fun? You can get seating at 7am

This is exactly why I don't like Minnie's. I refuse to waste the best time of the day at the parks eating breakfast! Any of the other three (Storytellers, Goofy's Lilo and Stitch) will offer early seatings. I have done all three and find the food and atmosphere at Storytellers very nice, great for older kids and adults. I love Goofy's but prefer it for dinner. Probably my favorite breakfast is the Lilo and Stitch one. Really good food, lots of energy but not too much and the characters play some fun games with the kids. You can also order off the menu at Lilo and Stitch as you can at Storytellers. But usually by the time you add a drink in its not such a good deal. We are big fruit eaters so the buffets always are a must for us since a la carte fruit plates don't come close to satisfying our fruit tooths! Just pick the one with the characters you want to see however, they are all three fun.

Yes, the best seatings I have ever had were at Storytellers around 7-7:30 am. We had atleast one character (usually 2!) at our table throughtout the entire meal. Even while we were eating. It was great, they played with all 5 kids the whole time. We got tons of pictures. We were one of only three tables eating the whole time, so that's why we got so much interaction!!!

The earlier the better. I agree about not wasting park time on meals!

Wow that's crumy that you can't have an early b-fast at the Plaza Inn with Minnie and Friends. We have had a 8am reservation before and the park didn't open until 9, maybe thats how it worked a long time ago...hmmm. We had planned on Minnie for b-fast but if we have to wait until 9 or 10, depends when the park opens, we will do storytellers or lilo and stitch. We are doing dinner at Goofy's so we won't do b-fast there too. Although I really enjoy the great interaction for b-fast and Goofy's...it's ALWAYS really good there with characters.

Can someone else confirm that you can't eat at the plaza inn unitl the park opens?? Thanks!

Great information on this thread - is there a link to reivews and prices?

At the top of this page are 10 links in brown. Click on the one that says Disneyland Information (second from the left) and you will find all you need to know on dining.

We just had breakfast at Minnie's and were surprised how long it took for the characters to get around. We were there over an hour and done eating so we finally gave up and left without seeing many of the characters. My 11DS tried to get Winnie the Pooh's autograph on the way out and he refused. He motioned that he would have to be seated at a table for him to sign. We were a little disappointed but didn't want to spend so much of our day just sitting there.
