Which car rental place is in DTD?

We rented from Dollar at the Holiday Inn. We had stayed at the POFQ and needed a car for the day to go to sea world. I took a taxi over in the morning, and got the car. I dropped the car off that night after hours, walked over to DTD and took the bus back to POFQ. It was very easy.

Most of the DTD hotels have car rentals, each a different one. They will send a shuttle to get you even if you stay off-site.

Our favorite trip is because of the car we rented from Budget at the Doubletree. We weren't sure at first if we were going to need a car. Went there mid-week, late in the day. All they had left was a red Mustang V8, which they rented to us for the same price as a sensible mid-size car! DH and I were there without children, and had great fun with that - I think it's in all our pictures after that day!

helenk - We need to rent a car for a day. We are staying at POFQ as you did. If we take the boat to DTD, how far is the Holiday Inn from where the boat drops you off? Is it within walking distance?

I would say that the walk from where the boat docks would be about 20 to 25 minutes. The walk from the Holiday Inn to the bus stop took us about 15 to 20 minutes.

Thanks, helenk. May be worth taking a taxi over depending on the weather.

I don't think you will have to take a taxi. The car rental people are happy to send a small van to get you. We have even done this from a non-Disney resort.
