I've booked our family of 5 for Poly Garden View in October, can someone recommend which building would be best for us? I hear some of the rooms are very old and need refurbishing, we'd like to avoid those. Kids love to swim so we'd like to be close to pool and main building if possible.

Friend stayed in Samoa a year or so back and said location was great but room shabby-has it been refurbished yet?

We'll appreciate any input!

I stayed in Tokelau in August, and thought the location was fantastic. The room hadn't been refurbished, but it was fine. It was just a few minutes to the GCH, boat dock, and volcano pool. It was steps to the quiet pool, and maybe 7 or 8 minutes to the TTC. We loved the location.

We stayed right upstairs from Karen last August and we would stay in Tokelau again. Terrific spot....quiet, close to the quiet pool, short walk to main bldg and Volcano Pool and marina. Quick walk to path to TTC to catch the Epcot monorail. Yep, it's a nice location. I know they are going to be rehabbing it, but don't know exactly when. It certainly wasn't shabby looking to me tho.

Tokelau we faced the quiet pool first floor, walked out our sliding door all the time, no fumbling for the key card to get into our room. we walked thru the building and right out to the side parking lot, it was never full and this was during easter.

the only problem we encountered was a couple of ducks that insisted that they wanted to share our room with them, we had to walk around them to get into our room and one time the kids ran in and forgot to close the sliding door, well we had guests!:earseek:

I like Samoa, ground floor rooms, preferably on the Volcano pool side. I don't think there is a more central location in the whole resort, and you have excellent access to the theme pool. Samoa was recently refurbished.

I agree with Demosthenes. ::yes::

Our last Poly stay was in a GV in the Samoa Building. It was Ground Floor Room 1610 looking directly at the Volcano Pool.

Great atmosphere, location, etc..

You could sit on the patio and soak up the "Disney Magic".

Good Luck!

princess: We're going to the Poly the first week of November. In all of my research, Tokelau was the building I decided would be the best. A couple of rooms on the lagoon side 1st floor are actually billed as garden rooms but you can see the lagoon. I will be using an ECV and so needed a ground floor room. The CM at CRO was very pleasant and put it in the computer and said it should be no problem with my request.
