Which Baggallini??

I just ordered one a few days ago from eBags....can't wait to get it and try it out!:cool1:

I'm not too fond of the shiny-ness of the rip stop or crinkle nylon. Is the microfiber a good option?

LOVE my messenger bag! I wore it on one shoulder and across my body too. Works both ways. I swear it can hold a ton! My family makes fun of me though because I keep everything in it and it still seems to have room for more stuff! Mine is lime green!

I just went to the web site that Happyathome linked for us (ebags). I had planned to order. However, I read the reviews online. One of the buyers said that her red messenger bag bled onto her clothes when it got wet. I wanted the red one. :guilty: Have any of you had problems with the color of your bag bleeding onto your clothes? Maybe I should purchase the khaki colored bag. I planned to wear this bag all over WDW.......parks, rides, everywhere. Plus I want to be able to wear it for future vacations.......cruises, beach, cities, etc. I know it will get wet. Will that be a problem?

I have lime green and it never bled on me. Also, I have the rip stop and I do not see that it is shiny. The pic posted by the pp is the same as mine and I don't think that it looks shiny. :confused3 Love my bag.

I'm curious too. What is the difference between the crinkle and the ripstop nylon? I like the colors of the crinkle better but was wondering if the ripstop is more durable. TIA

Great question! I have put off ordering until I read more about the color bleeding. I will wait to read this answer to this as well.
I am curious about the difference also.

Thanks for responding about hte shiny-ness! I went ahead and ordered the microfiber, thinking DH may like it better and want to help carry it! Or just carry it whether he wants to or not.:) After I ordered it I started to think that the microfiber may not be as lightweight as the other materials. I am supposed to receive it Friday, so I will post then. If I hate it, I will return for one of the others!

My lime green never bled either. I carried it EVERYWHERE! It got wet in a couple of downpours as well as on Splash Mountain. No problems at all. Of course DH won't carry lime green! I'm taking it back to Disney in June. Definitely got my money's worth from it!

I am bumping this question back up.
Can someone explain how the ripstop and crinkle nylon may be different?
Also, what about the microfiber?
I have decided I will go ahead and order since no one else has had trouble with the colors bleeding. I just would like to know the benefit of one fabric over the other.

jerelynj, I read that you ordered the microfiber. Can you report back this weekend and let us know how the fabric feels, weighs, etc.

I am crazy, I know. I just would like to be able to compare the fabrics.......pros/cons, etc.

I just found a thread about Baggallini's at this link

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=25248435#post25248435

If you use the sites listed in the previous thread with the code SAVE10 and then register with the site when ordering, you can get a baggallini messenger shipped for under $20.

Several people had posted to the thread above in April. I went ahead to the website today to see if the discount code still worked and it did.

Just thought I'd mention it here in case it helps anyone....

After months of thinking "I should really get a Baggallini"-- I was inspired by this post and just went ahead and did it!!!

I went to Bagsbuy.com and used the SAVE10 code that was listed on the other thread that was posted. Plus, I registered on the website to get a Member Discount. PLUS FREE Shipping.

Im not much of an Online Shopper, but this seemed too hard to pass up. Ill let you know how it goes!

Just ordered my purple bagallini! Save10 code still works and then I got an extra 10% off for registering. So my total charge was $19.30. I can't wait to get it!!! We live 10 minutes from King's Island in Ohio and I plan on using it all summer there along with our Disney trip.

I am a petite woman - less than 5' tall. I purchased the Messenger bag last year and was very excited to try a new bag that was raved about by many DISers. I absolutely loved the bag & the organization ability it provided. But after a couple of days at WDW, I discovered it wasn't for me. First of all, when it got loaded (with not that heavy of stuff), it became too heavy for me. I don't believe the weight would have been a problem, but because all the weight was on one side of my body, the weight pulled on the shoulder that was holding the strap. Also, the weight caused the buckle not to stay in place, causing the strap to become too long. For me, I will go back to a small backpack - that way the weight will be evenly distributed across my back.

How much stuff can the messenger hold? We are looking to carry 2 ponchos, child's change of clothes (very small in ziplock), sunscreen, 2 water bottles, and wipes. Will it all fit? Also, does the strap rub up on your neck if you are not wearing a collared shirt?

Thanks for your help!

Can you post a link. The only Baggallini messenger bags that I saw were the crinkle nylon. With the SAVE10 code and new member discount, my total was $26.05. I didn't complete the purchase. You must be getting the ripstock, but I cannot find one on the bag site when I search.
Please post a link so I can purchase that one.
Thanks!

ETA: Never mind, I just found it. The ripstop bags were almost at the end of the long list. I thought all of the messenger bags were together.
OK. I just ordered mine. The total cost was $19.30! I am so excited! I bought the khaki to help prevent color bleeding. I wear a lot of khaki capris and shorts, too. I thought that color would be fine.

Thanks so much for posting the discount code!!!!!!!!!:thumbsup2

I've been looking into the Baggallini Messenger Bag and I see that Shoebuy has 20% off today only. So, if you are in the market for more than one bag (or anything else on the site), today might be a good day to get it! I'll probably only buy one bag, so I'll stick with the save10 code, but I thought I'd let you know about today's discount.

Regarding the microfiber bags, while reading various threads on this topic, I saw that some people had complaints about stains and dirt showing easily on the fabric.
