Which backwards portion is more intense? Guardians or Everest?

I LOVE the Guardians ride, I've been on it 30+ times by now and enjoy every time. I really like the backwards part of the ride too, although sometimes going up the hill and turning does get me a tad busy a little. I've never done Everest as I'm afraid of the backwards section on there. I've assumed it's way more intense since you're going in a helix fast, and it's longer. Which ride would you say has the more intense backwards portion? Should I do Everest? It seems more thrilling.

IMO the backward portion on Everest is a little more intense than Guardians. It doesn’t turn or launch like Guardians, it essentially rolls back (quickly) and stops before going forward again. It is longer than GOTG backwards portion. That said I’d try Everest. It’s worth doing at least once and then you’d know. I am not a huge coaster fan but I love both Everest and GOTG.

I have no issues with Everest. In fact, I thought it was much tamer than everyone describes. I am not a thrill seeker either.

My wife and youngest will never ever ride Everest again due to the backwards portion. They had no problem riding GotG:CR over and over and wanted more.

Everest for sure, IMO. Love both rides but the backwards sections are very different.
This. They are really so different. It's quite hard to compare them.
Everest backward portion is faster to me
I do think I'd give it a try if you can do Guardians. At least once.

I agree with the others, Everest is more intense. The G forces that suck you down into your seat are pretty intense

Slightly on topic, can anyone tell me how the backwards portion of Everest compares to the backwards portion of Hagrid's at Universal? I really want to try Everest, but after some people described it as the most intense coaster at Disney, it freaks me out. (Mostly because I consider RNRC to be the most intense out of what I've ridden and if it's worse than that, I don't know that I could handle it. I HATE going upside down though..)

I can't do Everest because of the backwards portion. The backwards launch was what I was most nervous about with Guardians, but I actually loved it. It wasn't until the ride started turning that I got sick.

It’s been a while, but I feel like the backwards part on EE is longer and steeper, and it spirals. The backwards part on Hagrid’s is flatter and seems shorter.

I love Everest, but the backwards is hard for me to do. I close my eyes, grit my teeth, and hope I don't get sick. I haven't tried Guardians yet.

It does not for upside down. Just goes down in the shape of a spiral noodle.

I like EE way more that RNR. Not because of the upside down on RNR, just that EE doesn’t rattle your head like RNR does.

As @glocon said, no upside down. Just a tight banked curve, like a pigtail exit from a freeway, only backwards.

Ah, I see. I think it was the "corkscrew" description that threw me off. In that case, I'm back to considering giving it a try. :scratchin Thanks for clarifying!

Best description I can give is the backwards part in EE pulls more G's than the others do. Yes, RnR pulls G's when you launch but that's really it. Guardians doesn't really ever feel like it pulls G's, not in the way that EE does at least. That's where I think the big difference in Guardians is, and where EE gets the more intense rating over both Guardians and RnR

Everest is worse for me. Everest is the only roller coaster I get sick on a Disney due to the backwards portion. I didn’t feel sick at all on Hagrids.
