We'll be going back to WDW during march and was wondering which attractions would you recommend doing when you first arrived to the parks?:confused3 I know it's best to hit some rides etc, first thing and fastpass others. I just want to know what worked best for you and your family? I do have children 6 and 10 and they have been to disney before. They both are tall enough to ride all the rides expect rockin roller coaster (6yrold). I can't wait to see what your suggestions are. Thanks:):yay:

I would recommend you check out RideMax. It will help you schedule your day as efficiently as possible. I have children close to yours in age so it also had the added benefit of stopping any arguing or bickering. Everyone will get to ride their favorite ride - and they know exactly when! It will allow you to over deliver on your promises if anything! Think about going commando style in the morning and get as much scheduled and done as possible. Then grab fast passes and head back to your hotel to relax for the afternoon. When you head back in the late afternoon, not only will you be ready to ride your fast pass, but you will be ready to get another if any are still available. Then you can have a more relaxed evening - re-riding a favorite or just exploring without having a major schedule to follow! It is kind of the best of both worlds! My husband like the lack of "what do you want to do next?" negotiations after each attraction, and when my kids said I want to do that I was able to say - we are at 11:22! Good luck and have a great trip!

I have found the Unofficial Guide touring plans to work quite well.

Hi,
My kids are a bit older, 10 and 12, but I'll tell you what I found when we were there in December. First of all do look at /use a touring plan, either Unofficial Guide or TourGuide Mike or RideMax. But be flexible if you see it isn't working.
For the most part it worked great for us. The only problem we had was on the 1/2 day of the 1 plus 1/2 day plan for Magic Kingdom - it started off too slow and the kids needed action.
Epcot: Plan worked great, I went to get FP for Soarin' while DH took kids to Test Track, which they rode without FP twice and then went next door for Mission Space, also without FP. At this point they were happy and satisfied and the rest of the day was great.
MK: on the full day, sent DH for FP for Space Mountain while we went on Buzz Lightyear, then went to Space Mountain and rode it twice . As in Epcot, this made the kids so happy that all the rest of the day flowed.
Animal Kingdom:
Went straight to Expedition Everest and rode it (also x2 I think), then went to Kali River Rapids which was great fun! Then went and got a FP for the safari ride in Africa.
DHS: Don't know - sorry - DH was there with the kids not me, I went back to Epcot...
Basically, follow a plan and make sure to start the day with a big attraction!

That is good advice - start with a big attraction - or in the case of my kids, Dumbo at the MK since it is such a slow loader. If RideMax does not put a headliner first (which it frequently does not, as it relies more on FP) Or if there is something in particular you want to do first - like the safair in AK while it is cooler - Just adjust your plan starting time by 30 minutes and have it begin at the first attraction you ride and go from there!

If you are not going on RNR at DHS go to Toy Story Mania and get a FP and then get in line. This will allow you to ride it right away with a relatively short wait. Sign will usually say 20 mins but is only less than 10 first thing in the a.m. Your FP will be for later that morning. head over to TOT and get in line there and then when done you can return for your second TSM ride. Then go on from there.
