We are planning our August trip and are considering splitting the visit between the CBR and one of the All-Stars. We have stayed at the All-Star Movies several times in the past and wondered if one of the other All-Stars had been recently updated or is better for adults. Any opinions?

We stayed at ASMu in January and loved it. It's been refurbished and even our standard room in the Jazz building was closer than the preferred room we had at POP in September. I'd go back there in a heartbeat. Loved the curtain in the bathroom area - it made quite a difference. Tons of activities in the afternoons for kids, food court was great and we only shared busses 1x during our stay. :happytv:

Staying onsite at All Star Music for the first time EVER next month.

What does "shared buses" mean?

Sometimes the 3 All Star resorts share a bus - starting at the first resort and hitting the other 2 before heading to whichever park it's for. We only shared going to Animal Kingdom once during our 3 days there. Most times we had our own bus to each park. Even returning from the parks at night we had our own bus.:goodvibes

So with literally thousands of people staying at All Star Music....if we want to be at MK before the 8 am opening time....is there like a line of 100 buses out front ready to roll? Or a huge line? How does this work?

At that time of day, there won't be a huge line. The buses come about every 10-15 minutes in the mornings, a little longer in the middle of the day. They are not lined up out front waiting, you get in the que for which park you want to go to and wait for the next arriving bus. Same thing when you want to return from the park, get in the que line for your resort and wait until the next bus comes. The lines can get pretty crazy at closing time, especially at the values and some of the mods due to size of these resorts. We have always had good bus service at the values and mods though, no complaints really.

I have stayed at all but Movies. I think pop is the newest, therefore freshest and nicely themed. But like all the Values, it is like a very nice motel. Kids love them. Of the other two we like Music better than sports. Sports seems to have really hyper crowds. Sports seemed like it was the oldest of the 3, not sure though.

ASMu has been refurbished and really looks & feels nice and new. They've also added some touches that are really nice that they don't have at POP. POP is beginning to show the wear and tear and really needs it's turn at being redone. We just really enjoyed ASMu 100% more than POP....JMHO...:goodvibes

We have stayed at all the ASR's and have found ASMovies to be the best resort. We normally request a Mighty Ducks building because it's just a short walk(just across a driveway) to the Music's food court area and buses. Plus you have the Mighty Ducks quiet pool right there for those after park swims. Have a wonderful trip no matter which resort you choose!
