this is our 1st time going and I think I need to drop one of our ADR's. ( I am leaning on dropping either sci fi or Boma, only because these are on our first and last days). Here is our list of ressies

June 11th- sci fi lunch
june 12- crystal palace lunch ( a must do for my youngest son)
june 13 - Coral reef dinner
june 14 - 50's primetime
june 15 - Ohana dinner
june 16 - Le cellier dinner
june 17 - chef mickeys breakfast
whispering canyon dinner
june 18 - Boma Breakfast

If it were me, I'd drop one of the HS ressies...although Sci-fi is a really cool place, if you have never experienced it, or WCC. I know a lot of people really like WCC, but we did not care for it. JMHO.

Good luck!

I know that no one will agree with me on this one but.......................when I started booking our trip this year my family had 3 requests.

NO Coral Reef---our last 2 trips were HORRIBLE!

Sci-Fi for lunch, burgers, onion rings and shakes at a drive in movie is a MUST!

AND

LeCellier--our other favorite.

We are trying Boma for the 1st time this year and everything that I have read, most everyone loves it!

I'd definitely drop Sci-Fi. Too much time and money for a burger you can get anywhere else...

Crystal Palace lunch or Whispering Canyon dinner

I personally would drop crystal palace for lunch, but since you said it is a must do I guess I would pick Boma for breakfast. Sci Fi is so cool and the burgers and shakes are really good!

I would drop one of these:
Prime Time, WCC or Boma.

If you had Boma for dinner, I'd never ask you to drop that! While the breakfast is excellent, I think breakfast is hard to rate as a must do meal for food. WCC and Prime Time are very similar as far as the antics the servers play with you. For me, between those two, I'd drop Prime Time simply because you have a full service at DHS with Sci Fi.

Speaking of Sci Fi, I know a lot will say drop it, however, that is the last one I'd drop. The food is not exceptional however in 12+ trips, we have eaten there each time and always thought our food was very good. We go for the atmosphere. For one thing, the corny movie flicks make us laugh each and every time, we still love eating in a car under the stars and we find it one of our most relaxing meals all trip. Its very quiet in there, the whole place is riveted to the screen. You don't hear the racket and screaming kids you hear at most Disney places. I think Sci Fi is like many other WDW restaurants, its about the experience and not the food. Although I think their burgers, reuben, ribs and milkshakes are awfully darn good!

To be honest, I'd keep them all! You have some great choices!

First, I'd change Crystal Palace to breakfast (do not like Disney lunch or dinner buffets--except Biergarten). I would definitely drop WCC--one of the three worse meals we've ever had at Disney (and the service was horrible--we were there for over two hours--just the two of us).

I haven't had experience with most of these. So, I would probably drop Coral Reef (had a horrible meal there last year). If it's between Sci-Fi and Boma, then I would drop Sci-Fi (Boma is suppose to be great).

Boma is a must do on our list for dinner, but would definitely skip it for lunch. Depending on your kids ages, the sci-fi was a favorite of mine especially in the 4-13 age range. A fun place without worrying about autograph books. Ohanas is DH's favorite dinner place so that is a must do for us also. We went to Primetime when the kids were around 6-8 and they didn't get many of the jokes, and didn't like being yelled at :rotfl2: so we have never gone back.

You list looks great, btw.

Boma breakfast is amazing, by no means would I drop that one. I paid OOP for that and would do so again. Coral Reef is great, keep it. Not sure what al the noise is about that place these days, but we loved it.

Choose to eat either at Sci Fi or 50's, not both. If its Sci Fi try to switch it out with the 50's one to keep your schedule for that day. It isn't clear when you arrive, but your resort CS might be the smartest Day 1 meal, just very easy to do.

I think CP Lunch is a great idea. Use the morning to enjoy the park then get refreshed with a nice cheery cool lunch. We may do the same thing and I think there are some wonderfully unique items listed for the buffet.

For me, it'd be Coral Reef. The reviews are terrible and the menu is not only limited, but expensive.

I'd drop Sci Fi in a heartbeat. Our party of 4 all hated it the one and only time we went there

I'd drop Sci-Fi diner like it was a bad habit. We ate there once and it was horrible. Not one person in my family of four even remotely enjoyed their meal. It's too bad because it is a very cool restaurant, but the food was just awful!

I would drop Coral Reef, it is truly the only horrible experience we have ever had dining at Disney. I am also not crazy about SciFi. We are a family of 5 so I had to sit alone - Boring!!!!! Have a great trip!

I almost feel badly piping in, because I don't want to argue, but I LOVE trying to get the ADR's just right, so I'm super interested in the topic. We finally got around to trying Sci-Fi on our 9/08 trip and were surprised to not like it. The food was fine, but unremarkable, but honestly, the freaky sci-fi clips didn't go over so well for my kids. ...50's era aliens and monsters attacking everyone left and right... and it's not like you saw whole movies, you never saw the drama resolved, just one creepy attack after another.

Also, we are planning our next trip for 9/09 and I'm just getting around to polling the family what their favorite WDW restaurant is and DH said the only one he wanted to be sure to get to again was the Coral Reef. He thought our 9/08 meal was the best we'd ever had on property. I guess the opinions on that place are many and varied. Have fun!
