We are going in June and our Boys will be 25 months and 5. My 5 Yr old has never been a fan of characters, but he will sit and be fine if they dont approach him. I am hoping this year he will interact more, he is talking about it. We have only done Ohanas and it was fun. I am wondering if I should go there because it will be familar, or try something new. My soon to be 2 Yr old loves to eat at Breakfast, he eats most then, and I figure if I am going to pay for a buffet, may as well have characters. We are staying at Kidani. We may add Boma Breakfast too, unless we go to Tusker House, and I am not sure if they are about the same?

Thanks!:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

I would say Chef Mickeys for sure. And then Crystal Palace or Tusker House. Of course if he likes a certai nshow, he may prefer some characters over others. We did Chef Mickeys 2 years ago and we enjoyed it. It was nice to see the main characters. We have done Crystal Palace for dinner, and that was fun too.

Ohana's is great because they serve you family style. With small kids, it might be more relaxing for you here than at the traditional buffets.

Just a thought. :goodvibes

We've done Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace (both with 2 adults only) and Ohana's (2 adults & 2 kids) all for breakfast. All were really great. Chef Mickey's gets you the classic characters and Crystal Palace gets you the Winnie the Pooh characters, although both are pretty loud and there's a lot going on. I found Ohana's to not be as loud and crazy. So maybe stick with one you know, Ohana's, and try a new one depending on which characters you're thinking, and hoping, your son might respond to. Have a great trip!

I would vote for Supercalifragilistic Breakfast at 1900 Park Faire/Grand Floridian. It has tons of characters (English - Alice and friends, Mary Poppins, Pooh...). My 6 year old son has never loved characters, but will tolerate, and this one is nice because most of the "characters" are people rather than those big costumes. Also, it's the only one like that I know of that's not girl/princess only. It's a great mix of characters, and ones that can be hard to find at the parks. I would definitely put it up for consideration.

I think they are all great options but I just love the Classic character's at Chef Mickey's! DH and I had a great time there on our last trip. I didn't read your post before I voted though and I hope that your son will be more interactive with the characters this time.

That was our first ever character meal, and we really enjoyed it. We have some of the cutest pictures of my nephew. He got all embarassed when Mary and Alice came near him. I'm so glad we were there for my first trip. Hmmm...may have to consider that the next time hubby and I go. Together we have only done Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace.

Is your family early risers? My kids are (ugh) and so we are doing Crystal Palace for breakfast at hopefully an 8:05 ressie. It was recommended on here actually b/c you get the MK to yourself, well other than the other diners & pending it's not a morning EMH.

Gosh my kids like them all......but favorite is Chef Mickeys for sure. Next I would have to say Crystal Palace, but we really enjoyed Tusker House as well. I think my kids like the entertainment better at Crystal Palace but we all liked the food (and juice!) at Tusker House a bit better.

It has been a while since we've had breakfast at Boma, but I think the food is seasoned about the same as at Tusker.

The food at Tusker House is similar to Boma. We really enjoy the Tusker House Breakfast, it's a staple for us every year. We also enjoy CP and CM. The other good thing about doing the character breakfasts (aside from starting off the day with a full belly) is you get meeting the characters, especially the main ones, checked off the "to do" list. :thumbsup2
