'Where's your prince' and will this tale end 'happily ever after'? Sept 11 - Complete

I agree that Epcot is the park I'd most like to do solo. I feel like I never have the time I want to wander through the various countries. It sounds like a fun day!

I'm glad you went to Epcot on your own. It looks like you had a great job and you got some really nice pictures. I finally saw Captain EO in December. You didn't miss much! :lmao:

Oh a solo day at Epcot sounds like pure heaven to me! I know for a fact I would be in WS from the time it opened until it closed for the night! Great shots btw....love them all!

Great solo trip - the day looked lovely! I'm glad you asked someone to take your picture! You took a great shot of the monorail!

You'll love Once Upon a Time... you certainly have to get it when it becomes available to you!

Just found your last couple updates, I'm sorry you didn't get to meet all the characters at Tusker House.

I love the FOTLK show, for some reason, I always end up in the warthog section! LOL, it is hard to make that warthog sound loudly to "win" the competition.

Glad you did EE, I am glad I went on it, too, I really looked forward to it but I may be ok with not going on anymore, though, it was kind of scary for me.

Looks like you were having a a nice solo day at Epcot so far, great zoom pics, I am not what you would call a photographer either but I like to take pics.

I hope you have good luck with your job search. I have been out of work too, although I do have an appontment on Wed for one that looks promising so I hope it works out, it is with my former company but in a somewhat different position.

So now you're all ready for a while solo trip, right? ;) Nothing to it!

That IS quite a lot of nachos! I wouldn't have finished that portion either.

I was a couple of updates behind, but I'm all caught up now!

Sounds like you were having a great trip, though Tusker house must have been a bummer.

A day at Epcot solo? Sounds perfect! I hope you enjoyed it! :yay:

Yay Epcot!
If I was going to do one park solo it would totally be Epcot. Sounds good so far, those nachos are huge! I love the Canadian gardens. They make me feel close to home hahaha

Beautiful pictures!

Thanks! I loved exploring WS on my own and taking my time in each country :goodvibes

Nice update! If there is one park I would love to do a solo day in , it would be Epcot. Only the World Showcase though. I want to just wander though it all!

Very nice photos!

Thanks! I totally agree though I think it would take longer than one day! I only got to explore three countries in detail before having to leave...there is so much to take in. If you ever get the chance though I totally recommend touring WS on a solo basis :goodvibes

Thanks again!

nice that you got some solo time to do what you want to do!!! :thumbsup2

Yeah it was fun taking my time and not being rushed from one place to another!! :cool1:

I agree that Epcot is the park I'd most like to do solo. I feel like I never have the time I want to wander through the various countries. It sounds like a fun day!

Hello you! I've been wondering where you have been! Hope the new job is still going well :goodvibes Are you going to be doing a TR for your October trip or sharing some photos. Would love to hear about it!

It sure was a fun day that got even better! I felt the same earlier on in the trip...just rushing to get from one country to the other without taking in all the minor details which are just as important. I would love to tour WS on a solo basis again.

I'm glad as well! :goodvibes I was pleased with the pictures I took especially considering my shots normally don't come out that well!! I thought Captain EO was okay as a one off but probably won't be something I want to watch repeatedly!

You describe it really well! It sure was pure heaven! :cloud9: I actually didn't get to spend all day here for reasons that will become apparent in the next update however if I could've spent all day here I would have been happy to do so!

Thanks...I was pretty pleased with them as well!

Thanks - it sure was a beautiful day! I think I can go as far as saying this was my favourite day from the entire trip! :goodvibes I'm glad I asked as well and that it turned out okay. I loved that shot of the monorail and was lucky I guess!

I'll make a note to watch it as soon as it becomes available! I have just recently started watching New Girl which is now airing here and really enjoying that show :thumbsup2

Just found your last couple updates, I'm sorry you didn't get to meet all the characters at Tusker House.

Thanks for catching up! It was okay in the end...the only one I was disappointed about was Daisy but I'll just have to look out for her on a future trip ;)

I love the FOTLK show, for some reason, I always end up in the warthog section! LOL, it is hard to make that warthog sound loudly to "win" the competition.

FOTLK sure is an amazing show! Lol at always ending up in the wathog section...it's the one noise I'd have a hard trouble making and you are right in that it is not that loud! :rotfl:

Glad you did EE, I am glad I went on it, too, I really looked forward to it but I may be ok with not going on anymore, though, it was kind of scary for me.

I am glad I attempted it on my first trip though would only be prepared to go on it again with a riding companion. It's too scary to attempt on my own again!

Looks like you were having a a nice solo day at Epcot so far, great zoom pics, I am not what you would call a photographer either but I like to take pics.

Touring WS on my own sure was a great experience and I'm glad I managed to fit it in. I think it only happened because Zaheer was tired of the parks by this point  I'm the same - I enjoy taking pics but wish I could be as good as some of the experienced photographers on these boards.

I hope you have good luck with your job search. I have been out of work too, although I do have an appontment on Wed for one that looks promising so I hope it works out, it is with my former company but in a somewhat different position.

Aaw thank you :cutie: I had my first telephone interview last week which was nerve wracking but went well. I have also applied for a position which I have a good feeling about as it is pretty much what I did in my last position but we shall wait and see what happens.

Good luck for Wednesday :wizard: I really hope the appointment works out for you...you'll have to let me know how you get on.

Haha you are right! I'm so ready for a solo tour and agree that there is nothing to it! :lmao: If I had a permanent job and some spare money I would've considered a solo trip for my birthday this year but sadly that will have to wait.

I was pretty hungry as had not had any breakfast but even so that was a lot of nachos for one person!

I was a couple of updates behind, but I'm all caught up now!

Thanks for catching up! :goodvibes

I really enjoyed the trip and although Tusker House wasn't what I expected it to be I still enjoyed the food and would be willing to give it another chance!

Oh I definitely enjoyed a solo tour at Epcot! :thumbsup2

Yay Epcot!

Yay, I love Epcot!! :thumbsup2

I would totally recommend going solo at Epcot! You notice so many more details that you wouldn't notice when touring with someone else. Those nachos were definitely huge! :lmao:

I love the Canadian gardens as well and totally get the feeling close to home lol! It's how I felt when eating chips earlier on in the trip!

lol... you've shamed me into submission! I can't believe it's been more than 2 months since my trip. But I have now started a trip report and the link should be in my signature. Bonus... my husband and I are taking a quickie weekend trip down and leaving in three days! The good thing about starting the trip report so late is I can just talk about both trips in the same report :)

What pretty pictures!!! How brave to go by yourself!! :thumbsup2 It is hard, but I've always thought that a solo trip would be fun because you get to do what YOU want, and you don't have to worry about anyone else! Oh and I am totally with you on Captain EO! I don't need to see it any time soon, though I did love Michael Jackson!! I'm glad you did the KP Mission! I'd love to do that- I think that's on the list for the next trip! ;)

Woohoo on starting!!! I'm heading to read it as soon as I've posted these replies. Also that's great news about having a quick weekend trip with DH! Looking forward to hearing about how that goes - I sometimes wish I lived close enough to be able to fit in a weekend break.

Thanks Emma!! Lol I was pretty nervous at first but an hour or so into it was just fine! Just having that one day on my own made me realise how cool it would be to have a solo trip so I could do my own thing and not have to worry about anyone else :goodvibes However at the same time it would have to be a short trip - think I would get bored of having no one to talk to after a while! :rotfl: Haha yeah Captain EO is just average even for Michael Jackson fans!!! I went to see Thriller live a long time ago and that was more fun!

Definitely try the KP mission as it is fun but I became my own worst enemy by making sure I finished it in record speed! :lmao:

Hi everyone! I hope you are all having a good week. I have just found out that I have an interview for a potential job opportunity next week - hopefully I'll be successful.

Anyway carrying on...at some point I watched O'Canada which I enjoyed but preferred another show coming up later on in this update.

After leaving Canada I had a look in the UK shop and took a few shots of The Beatles for my mum who is a huge fan!

I soo wanted to buy this teapot and am still gutted I didn't purchase it! It's going on my wishlist for a future trip ;)

This is also where I had one of my favourite M&Gs of the trip. I remembered that Winnie the Pooh and Tigger could be found at the back of the shop. I asked a CM where they were based and headed that way. The PP photographers camera wasn't working but he took lots of pictures on my camera and as there was no one else in the queue Pooh and Tigger spent a lot of time with me making me laugh with their antics!

Next I headed to France and took some pics whilst admiring the views.

748-1.jpg

I don't think I would've noticed the details in the second pic had I been touring with Zaheer on this day.

I also remembered hearing about a snack I knew I had to try - the lovely Napoleon!! This was amazing!!! :cloud9:

753-2.jpg

I watched Impressions de France and loved this show - think it may be due to the fact there was seating available so I could rest my feet! :rotfl:

Although I could've spent loads more time at WS I decided to head out to explore an Epcot resort and try another yummy snack!

The resort was...

The Beach Club!! I loved this resort and the lighting fixtures!

This next shot is for Disneydreamingdebby - she took some lovely pics of baby clothes in her previous TR that when I went exploring the shop at The Beach Club I saw this wall and thought of her.

766-1.jpg

After looking around I walked to the place that had the best dessert options...Beaches and Cream!

767-1.jpg
772-1.jpg

In the second shot if you look closely you can see a kitchen sink which was being prepared for a birthday treat! Unfortunately that's the best shot I got of the beauty.

I ordered my treat - the No Way Jose which having seen it on various TRs I knew it was going to be heavenly! It sure didn't disappoint.

This is what it looked like once I had worked my magic and eaten through it!

I walked around and headed to the bus stop.

I was waiting for a MK bus when one for DTD turned up so I got on that one. This bus took forever though and I didn't get back to Pop until around 5pm. I think it would've been quicker waiting for the MK bus.

I returned to our room, took a shower and got ready for our evening meal at Sanaa.

Coming next: A DIS meet and dinner at Sanaa.

Good luck on the interview! I hope it goes well :) I love that photo of the details in France. I don't think I noticed that at all. And yumm... I loved the Napoloeon. That No Way Jose looks spectacular. I'm a big peanut butter fan.

Good Luck on the job interview!:thumbsup2 I'll be sending positive thoughts your way!

Nice details in the WS! I hope to take time the really wander slowly there someday. Maybe after Kadence grows old enough to not be bored out of her mind!:lmao:

Thanks, now I have a craving for some ice cream!

Job interview? I missed something!! Good luck!:thumbsup2

I am glad you had some time to yourself! :goodvibes It looks like you had a chance to enjoy the other parts that make Disney so wonderful!

DTD buses and the travel time is always soooo looonnngggg!

Good Luck with your interview next week! Mine went well, my friend/former supervisor said she thought it went well, too and that I should be hearing something on Monday or Tuesday.

That Napoleon looks delicious! The No Way Jose looks yummy too! I just Love Peanut butter and chocolate! :lovestruc

Love the pics with Tigger and Pooh, they always seem like such fun characters.
