Where's the "sweet spot"?

Exactly where is the best place to view Wishes from? Forget about crowds and "exit strategies" and anything else and pretend you are the only one in MK for the showing. Where woud you be?

On main street, standing between Casey's and the Ice Cream parlor.

It's the PEFECT distance. Just close enough so that you get blown away by the huge spectacle of it all, then far enough away so that you can see all the fireworks framed perfectly behind the castle.

I agree, but I'd borrow a chair from Casey's and sit. (after all, the OP said "pretend you are the only one in MK for the showing." )

Yup. We always go to the hub.

We were on the bridge to Tommorland and felt that was a pretty great spot. We were probably mid bridge and there was a speaker near by to hear the music. Also, my dd was amazed that the REAL Tinkerbell flew right over her head!!

Now, if you're going in August, I'd say that this is about the worst place possible to watch fireworks! I'd listen to the op's!

Right in the center of Main St, just before the actual hub!! I actually just happened to end up there one night just as the fireworks started. It was a terrrific spot. Only bad thing was when a dad in front of me put his child up on his shoulders. You should have heard the shouting going on then....'hey, down in front, hey, get that kid down, we can't see!'...too funny. Or the woman who kept putting her camera up, over her head, right in front of mine. She didn't much care that she ruined shots for about 6 other people around her that night!!!
But, if I could be there, all by myself, or be able to pick 50 people to watch with me...that spot would be perfect. I do love watching from the bridge and have Tink fly right over me, but you don't get the same effect as being dead center, in front of the Castle.
