Where's our Macys GC?

A while back several people filled out an online Macys survey. In return we were to get a Macys GC. I honestly don't remember the amount of the GC.

Did anyone receive theirs or was this an internet hoax?

I had forgotten all about that! No, I never received mine either. I also never received any email from them either -- normally once a store like that gets my e-mail address, I have to hear about ALL their sales and such.

I did that survey too. I emailed Macy's just a few hours ago and they emailed me back a minute ago. Basically, they said: They Gift Card was for the first 500 people to do the survey. Your name is not on the list and you would have received it already. Sorry.

Oh well.

Boy that irks me. I remember the message after the survey saying that "You should receive you GC in ??? weeks". Macys was able to continue this survey by leading people to believe that the GC was still available.

That stinks!...You take the survey with the understanding of getting the gift card. Macy's shouldn't do that!...oh... I never got one either... But then I never get any of the gift cards I'm supposed to anyway.... LIKE from MyPoints...errrrrr!

I am just curious, did anyone receive the gift certifcate?

I just went on the www.macys.com website and looked under Guest Service (I think). Then there is a link for 'Contact Us'. That's what I used.

Too bad we didnt get the cards since MyPoints sent out a Bonus email for spending $50 at Macy's. With the card we could have gotten $ off and gotten points and free shipping.

thanks, I just emailed them also looking for a reason why I haven't received mine. I wonder if anyone did get one or it was a scam?

Nope, didn't get mine either. Pretty sneaky how they say at the end of the survey "You will be receiving your gift card in four weeks." It doesn't look like anyone got theirs.

Much different than the response that sorcerormickey got! Maybe I should forward my email to sorcerormicky (or he/she to me) and we should write Macys again and ask, "What's the real story?"

I hate to put a real damper on this dilemma, but i believe that the amount was $30! I think it really stinks that everyone participated and no one was rewarded! I just finished writing to them so we will see what happens...i'll keep you posted!

Email from the company that did the survey

"i received your inquiry regarding an online survey and an
egc offering that macys.com did last fall. unfortuately many recipients
forwarded the email to many non-qualifying entrants. the directions
clearly stated that the survey was only valid if you had received it from
macys.com. i am sorry if you did not read our disclaimers. we cannot
provide the list of the first 500 people to complete the survey, as that
would violate our privacy policy. this was not a sweepstakes. this was a
survey sent to our database of purchasers. unfortunately, as often happens
in the internet world, it was sent to many people who did not meet our
criteria. please let me know if i may be of service in any other manner."
