We've finally rounded up a group that is cruising together and most are first time cruisers, any of you experienced cruisers have a suggestion for a good time and place for us to all meet on board??:o

How many do you have? We found that doing a quick 3:15 meet on embarkation afternoon before the safety drill at 4:00 gave us a chance to meet and say hi, and to make plans to meet later during the cruise. We met outside of Pinocchio's on Deck 9 and probably had 10-15 people during the meeting.

We're still counting, perhaps 5 families with assorted children, parents and family members. Luckily a few of us have exchanfed photos but a couple of stick on name tags (with a DIS logo) may not be a bad idea! Thanks for the suggestion!

We met at Scoops on deck 9 right after the lifeboat drill. Worked just fine!

Our group of Dis group met at 'Lumiere's' for lunch.

I agree that the deck 7 "secret" verandah area is an excellent place to meet.

There is also a little-used area outside of the basketball courts where there are several chairs and lounges.

Also, the couches out around Guest Services are usually pretty quiet.

One more option - just make sure that whoever is staying in the Walt or Roy Disney suite is a part of your group, and meet there!! LOL

'Beano'

We met in the lounge right next to the internet cafe. I think its called Promenades.

Ditto -
Promenade Lounge after the Mustering. Very quiet and empty area where you can "meet and greet" each other!

Our group is meeting on deck 10 overlooking the Goofy pool on the port side. We are holding our meeting during the sailaway party. I think a nice start to a great cruise.

thedisneymom- what a coincidence, my group is meeting there too at the same place and time!!!:p I CAN'T WAIT ANYMORE. I NEED MY VACATION!!!

I just got back from the Eastern on Saturday, and believe me,
I feel your pain!

I wanna go home!!

Maybe if I do like Dorothy and click my heels three times and say, "There's no place like home!" - I'll be back!

Might as well give it a shot! Not much else to do for the next 79 days but wait!

Listen girlfriend, don't expect me to feel sorry for you! How long in between your scheduled cruises, maybe 3 or 4 months? Poor Rae! I'll have to wait another 2 or 3 years I'm sure. Or maybe my DH will love it so much he'll have to go every year. He's not much into Disney though. Come to think of it, how did we ever get together with a flaw in his character as major as that? LOL
