Where you live do they say Land, World, or just Disney?

I grew up in So. Cal, so Disneyland is Disneyland, and Disney World is Disneyworld (Bear with me... I know that I spelled it incorrectly, but it's easier to type and more fun for me!). Big difference since Disneyland is my absolute favorite, with WDW coming in second (no flaming, please!). They're just not the same, so I would never lump them together and call them the same thing!

I currently live in Virginia (DC area). Now, what gripes my boat is when I tell people here that we spent a day at Disneyland when we were visiting family in California, they automatically think that I made a mistake and meant Disneyworld. And they correct me! "Don't you mean Disneyworld?" Then I have to correct them and say, no, Disneyland is in California, Disneyworld is in Florida. And I went to Disneyland.

It's kinda hard to go to Disneyworld for a day (since we all know you need at least a week!), especially when you're currently in LA. :rotfl:

But when I'm out in California, when I tell people we're planning a trip to Disneyworld, they don't mistake it for Disneyland. Go figure.
