to eat based on uniqueness/atmosphere.( I know better than to ask based on taste;) ) We are doing the dining plan. so far I am thinking about:
50s Prime Time
Sci Fi
San Angel

any other ideas? I dont think she would like something different like Moroccan.

Are you looking to dine in the parks or in the resorts? Seems like from the options posted, you may be leaning to Parks only - Epcot and MGM??

I would say California Grill have dinner during Wishes and watch from the balconey this is a great view and the food is great.

Based on atmosphere, how about Coral Reef, Crystal Palace, the Plaza, California Grill, Boma or Ohana. :goodvibes

Rainforest Cafe, Boma, 'Ohana, and Sci-Fi come to mind. Of these, Boma has the best food by far.:)

Your three options are great.
CA Grill for fireworks and Boma are also excellent choices.
If you are in the dtd area, Raglan Road is fantastic.

Teppan Edo is fun in Epcot's Japan, and the food is very good. All cooked in front of you in a little chef show.. always a favorite of this family.

If you are looking for atmosphere of the three San Angel wins. It is so relaxing and I think very unique if you have not been there before. I know it blew my socks off the first time we went in.

Best Wishes.

If they are an only timer, my guess is they wouldn't appreciate the humor of 50's but it is my favorite of the three you mentioned.

Second of the three would be San Angel.

My favorite overall WDW restaurant is Crystal Palace.

DH and I are taking his sister and her daughter (5) in October for DN's bday. It's their first time, and probably the only time they'll ever get there. :sad2: We are taking them to LTT, Rose & Crown to watch Illuminations, Mickey's Backyard BBQ, Coral Reef, Whispering Canyon Cafe, and 50's Prime Time.

I would take them to the worse food in the parks but the best true meaning of Disney, Cinderella's Royal Table inside The Castle.

Oh and my husband and I are taking my family in December. It will be us and 6 first and only timers. This is what we have lined up:

Tony's Town Square
50s Prime Time Cafe
Cinderella's Royal Table
Kona
Ohana
Coral Reef
Biergarten
Maya Grill (several breakfasts)

What kind of person are they? Do they like silliness or just nice restaurants?

actually she is what you would say is a typical 'old rural woman'. I dont know that she has eaten in a 'nice' restaurant her whole life, I dont think she would be interested either. Thats why I think cutesy/unique would suit her better.

I thought about the castle but isnt it a buffet now taking up 2 TS credits?

I agree with California Grill during the fireworks. I also vote for Le Cellier because it's so much fun, and Boma or Jiko because visiting AKL is so spectacular.

However, my first thought is that one should not go to WDW without dining with Mickey -- so choose a meal with him. And that CP for a late breakfast or early lunch is the perfect break in the middle of a long MK day.

Not a buffet, a fixed price menu, but yes it is 2 TS credits. HEre's the latest menu:

If she's an older rural woman she may enjoy the 50's/60's kitch of Prime Time or Sci Fi more. We love Sci Fi, we are also taking a first timer with us (DDs 13 year old best friend) and I have the following lined up: 'Ohana (it's a tradition with us), SciFi, 1900 Park Faire and Cape May Clam Bake. I figure we'll eat CS lunches a few days and I'll try to find some different ones then too, like Flame Tree BBQ and/or the CS at Yak & Yeti.

My vote would be for San Angel, purely for atmosphere. My entire family loves it there even though 2 members almost NEVER eat Mexican!

I think she would get a kick out of Sci-Fi!!! :)

How about the Hoop-de-doo-revue! I think my grandma, an old rural woman, would have LOVED that!

50's Prime Time
Sci-Fi
San Angel
Biergarten
Whispering Canyon
Beaches & Cream
