Where Would You Like To See New DVC Resorts?

And timeshare salespeople always tell the truth! ;)

I've heard the Branson rumor for years. I think it's safe to say that if Disney had wanted to build a DVC resort on the land that they've supposedly owned for the last ten years, they would have done so by now. Alas, if the Branson rumor was based on truth, it only reinforces that Disney has given up on off-site DVC resorts.

I am voting for Animal Kingdom Lodge area. I would love to see the animals!

I would be in favor of AKL and Poly, but that might make it too congested between the two resorts. They are Deluxe and people pay a lot of money, so jamming in a DVC resort may not be practical or fair. But then again I love Poly. I think a ski resort would be nice. I know you can use points for some trips, but how about one that requires less than 2 years of points.

After a couple of days, the novelty of the island would wear off. Aside from swimming at the beach, or riding a bicycle around, there wouldn't be much else to do. Or anywhere else to go

Caskbill:

What you describe is what thousands of people do when they flock to Caribbean Islands. Golf, tennis, water sports, etc.... I have heard about the bugs at Castaway Cay at night, but I would bet that someone told them that the bugs were terrible around some swamp land in Orlando quite a few years ago.

If I were to have my wish, I still would go for DVC at Castaway Cay. All it is is a wish. I didn't say I could figure out all of the rest of it.;)

DVC needs a ski resort. We have plenty of sun and warm, how about some snow and cold. I know many of you already have lots of that in the winter, but for us southern folks we would like some snow.

I too vote for AKL. Someone on page one said they missed waking up to the animals with DVC. Obviously they don't stay at OKW, because we always have lots of little critters to watch there. We have had great fun with the bunnies, birds, squirels and others we see there every trip!

I'm with Merilyn.
Maine, New Hampshire, or Vermont would be nice. Plus, in addition to the snow, the summers up there would are great. The only problem would be "mud season." :p

I vote for the Poly!!! Hands down my all time favorite resort, right on the monorail.

Another vote for the Poly!! It's our all time favorite and we'd add on in an instant.

Another vote for Animal Kingdom; what a treat that would be!
I know Disneyland doesn't have the room, but I can always dream.:)

A couple of years ago - we had a similar post. Someone thought that the next DVC resort should be on the second floor at the Magic Kingdom - Main Street, USA. I like it.:D

I would vote for a new deluxe resort between the TTC and Comp which would be on the Monorail.

I believe that in the original 5-year plan for WDW when they built the MK, Disney planned a resort of that area with a Venice theme.

If you look on the satellite map, it sure looks like there is space available.

That would work for me!

Whatever happened to the one that was supposed to be on Eagles Pines?? Did they change that to the Disney Institute one?

AKLVillas
PolyVillas

Those sound great to me, but I have to pay off my BCV first;)

Wow it sure does! Maybe that's where we should build Poly Villas. Then we wouldn't have to tear down the Wedding Pavilion.

Clark,
DH and I were just looking at this area( between cont. and Poly) in May while riding the monorail. I thought it looked like enough space for a resort to me. This would be my top choice for sure. Erin
