Okay, I am trying to figure out where to eat dinner on Christmas day. I've tried to make reservations for Cali Grill, Citricos and Captain's Grille, but no luck. Captain's Grill has availability, but only as two tables 1 for two and 1 for 3. We do not want to be separated.

We are a party of 5. 2AD, 3CH ages 9, 10 and 14. Does anyone have an idea of a nice (maybe wow) dinner?

Here's where we're eating for the week.

Day 1 - Narcooses
Day 2 - O'hanna
Day 3 - Flying Fish
Day 4 - Artist Point
Day 5 - Luau
Day 6 ?

We will not have park tickets for the day, so it will have to be at a resort or DTD.

Where would you eat? One or 2 TS is okay.

Thanks for suggestions.

Have you tried for the Yachtsmans Steakhouse or Jiko?

We had a wonderful meal at the Yachtsmans and will be dining there in December. We are at the Cali Grill on Christmas Day.

Is Jiko appropriate for children? I'm concerned there might be strong flavors.

Leanne1977 - lucky you for getting Cali Grill.

We were on the phone bang on 180 days for it, its our favourite restaurant.:thumbsup2
I think, with regards to Jiko, that it really depends on your childrens personal tastes. I know my eldest son wouldn't be able to cope with anything spicy at all. But I am sure if the food isn't to their taste, they would be more than happy for your kids to eat from the kids menu anyway.:thumbsup2

These are the entrees on the kids menu,

Tomato and Cheese Pizza $7.00
Peanut Butter and Jelly with fruit, carrot and celery sticks $6.00
Grilled Cheese with carrot and celery sticks, peanut butter dip and fruit $6.00
Grilled Chicken Breast with mashed potatoes, veggies and fruit $8.00
Broiled Fish with mashed potatoes, veggies and fruit $8.00
Grilled Filet of Beef with mashed potatoes, veggies and fruit $11.00
Macaroni & Cheese with White Cheese Sauce - $6.00

Hope you manage to get somewhere fab!:grouphug:

Good luck getting somewhere great! I'd be worried about availability and taking what I could get. We are booked at Liberty Tree Tavern for Xmas dinner. We haven't done the character dinner before and wanted to get it in before it went away. Also, we have breakfast at Crystal Palace on Xmas morning! We didn't even book 180 days out either - but I'm so excited!

I would suggest you gat a reservation at any place that has space.

And as far as not going to a Park, it will cost your entire family less than $16 (including tax) to add an additional day to your tickets. Just avoid MK.

I agree with Cheshire Figment. Get the day added on to your ticket and call WDW now, no kidding, right now and see what they have available. You will be hard pressed to get anything at this late date. Good Luck!!!

I guess perseverance pays off. I called again this evening and was able to get an adr at Captain's grille. The CM was trying hard to find me something. He kept saying I just can't find a table anywhere for your party size. Finally something at Captain's grille must have opened up and we got it. :goodvibes

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.
