I am going away on Tuesday to friends and relatives over Christmas, back home for a few days on the Saturday 27th December then will be at my sister's New Year's Eve Party!

So what are you all doing?:D

I'll be at IOA on Christams day - Yay me!

New Year's Eve is not as fun, though - I have to work on Jan 1, so no heavy duty partying for me!

Christmas I'll be home but on New Year's Eve I'll be where I've been every year since 1999, at Universal!! :bounce: Can't wait!!

I'm working for 4 hours on Christmas day. I get time and a half plus holiday pay! Cha-ching!

I'll be asleep during most of New Year's Day, though.

My two teenagers (16 & 20) and I will be in Orlando from 12/21-12/26. We have the 5-day Bonus Pass for USO & IOA & CW. What do you think would be the best days to visit USO & IOA? Do you think they will be extremely crowded on Christmas Day? Also, what do you think the weather will be like? We are packing now and aren't quite sure what to take.

Thanks for your help!
Gail

I will be with family at xmas and a quiet new year planned as kids at that age where to old to dump on granny and too young to take anywhere:jester:

Mike and I both have to work Christmas Day (and separate shifts, too!):( , but we leave the 27th for his sister's in Maine, where we will be celebrating for a full week!

Happy holidays, everyone!

Jodie

Working on Christmas Day, plus I get holiday pay.

New Years, probably working on the Eve and Day.

Wish I could be at Universal Christmas or New Year.....I can just imagine how lovely that would be!!

So Barry.you are working a bit on Christmas Day......but poor DM!!! Working on Christmas Day and New Years Eve and New Year's Day. I guess you'll get time off to enjoy the wonderful festivities at Universal a bit though, won't you?....hope it won't be all work and no play!!!!!

I'll be off Christmas Eve but go to work at midnight on Christmas Eve/Christmas morning for a few hours for the CHACHING as well. I'll spend Christmas morning with my wife and kids and go to the inlaws in the afternoon. I also took New Years Eve off for a change and we will spend the evening hanging out, probably watching cartoons or something with the kids. I'd rather be in Florida but it would be to crowded for my taste.

Well, I wish I was at Universal, however, I will be at church for our christmas program, then we will be over at families house. On New Years, we usually go to church as well and visit family.

One of my aunts is coming over for Christmas. We'll probably attend a 5:30PM mass and go to Applebee's for a few hours to talk and eat and have fun (yes, we stayed for like 2 hours at the restaurant last year...the whole time my aunt didn't finish her food b/c she was talking...hehehe!! but we were there longer than anyone, and our waitress even came to join in our conversations for a while. it was fun!). Probably drive around to look at Christmas lights (of course I'LL be driving...gave them the warning...lol). Christmas Day we get up early and open gifts, then just hang out. New Years Eve we'll be going to my dad's work friend's house for a party, but will leave right after midnight because my mom and I are going to Universal on New Years Day. :)

No matter what you all do, I hope you have the happiest of holidays!

Ahhh thanks Spidey. I second that. Even though won't have much internet access over the holidays - I'll be thinking of you all on Christmas morning - but at least now - I'll/we'll be able to reflect on what everyone is doing and where we all are!!:D

Same here Selina! I'll be thinking of you, but I will try to sneak on the board for a few minutes. Now if it actually happens I will be surprised.:D

I just found out that I shall be working on NYE and day, as I normally do. It's all good, though. :)

Since we are the grandparents, everyone gathers at our home for dinner tonight and exchange of family presents. No snow (we will be eating outdoors tonight) and our menu may be a little different than yours, but it will be a wonderful family holiday dinner and get together.

Christmas day we will watch two of the grandkids open gifts from Santa. But then it is rest and relaxing for the first Christmas in years. DH is taking me out to the Lodge for the Christmas Buffet. No cooking, no cleaning up...wonderful!

New Years Eve day I work. But in the evening it will be fireworks fireworks and more fireworks. We will help the neighbors roast a pig and have a huge block-like pot luck party to bring in the New Year. Wish you could join us. :)

Wish we could be in Universal, but would miss all our family and friends...so Mardi Gras has become our Universal Holiday! Not sure if we will make it in 2004, but remember, if you ever want a DIS meet in Hawaii, just let us know. :teeth:

That sounds wonderful. Hope you had a lovely Christmas time. I like the way you welcome in the new year. Roasting a pig......I went to Oahu few years ago now...and we went to a Luau - where they roasted a pig and we danced and we drank and we watched fireworks - all beneath a magnificent sunset....wonderful memories!:D

I was at my boyfriend's mother's house on Christmas day...and will be at work on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Blah! :(
