Right…. but if that is your normal grocery store you are probably spending $90 on groceries anyways.

I want to go in and buy $2000 worth of gift cards…. (And do not live anywhere near a BJs or Sam’s Club)…. so it seems like Target 5% is the only scalable option…. and just hope CostCo does a Disney gift card again over the Holidays….
My last round of Disney cards at Costco I got online. No need to have one close by.

I walk up, they scan my eyeballs and check my ID/boarding pass…. and then I get to go in front of the TSA pre-check line…. it’s fantastic!
So you stand in the Clear line and then go to the TSA Pre-check line also? Maybe I've been lucky but the TSA lines have been about 0-4 people in them when I arrive and I'm though it in less than 5 minutes without Clear. You've found it beneficial though?

Yes. They normally take you to the front one the TSA line. I have found it beneficial at my home airport on most occasions and at MCO. Smaller its not airports not as beneficial.

@VGCgroupie mentioned this, but you can join Sams and BJs without ever setting foot in them. Just apply with a promotional link so you're only paying $10 - $15 at most for the membership and immediately turn auto renewal off. They will ship to you and let you buy the eGCs online.

Target 'Circle Week' starts Sunday to compete with Prime Week. I am pretty sure we will see new Circle rewards bonuses. This is one of my favorite ways to obtain discounted DGCs. I can get eGCs and then turn around and use the rewards on sale items at Target minutes later.

Like Julie, I have not had to wait more than 5 minutes in a pre-check line in a very long time--usally the wait to actually get through the scanner is longer than the wait for ID check. I have occasionally noticed Clear people slip in front of us, but at least for Delta at its hubs, its not so frequent that it's worth giving Clear more of my PII... I also like to show up at the airport less than 75m before my flights.

Speaking of credit cards, I spent more than an hour tonight trying to convince AmEx to unlock my account after their vaunted anti-fraud technology misflagged a Tokyo Disney vacation package booking (that I had to make in the middle of the night from a cruise ship) as potential fraud... extremely frustrating experience that ultimately ended with me having to scan a photo of my passport (or DL) and selfie into some 3rd party verification software before they could lift the hold... I spend 5-6 figures a year with Disney on my Amex, I also used them to purchase flights to Tokyo a couple days before this vacation package, have been to TDR 2x in the past 5 years.... am not so thrilled with their fraud detection at the moment.

I’m not sure how that is helpful. Costco usually doesn’t carry Disney gift cards online or in store, but yes when they did it 2 years ago as a seasonal item I bought a bejus of them online.

There are a lot more people in the TSA precheck lines that I am going through…. sometimes it seems like the regular line is shorter than pre-check, but you have to take off your shoes and other hassles.

I’ve used it at PDX, SLC, and HNL so far and have been happy with the service.

It has been a huge time savings for us about 60% of the time would be more if I didn’t use small airports like SNA often.

I used to be like no chance I’m doing that and giving up my info. Clear now processes TSA precheck applications so they had it anyway. So the day they started taking photos of everyone to get past security I decided they already had everything so why not.

I feel like TSA precheck has been a huge time saver, for relatively little monetary outlay.

It's unclear to me :) whether Clear is worth the pretty significant cost, because I'm not personally experiencing any big delays in getting through security.

Don’t want to make this thread about GC. But will share one last deal, a Target option for today. I got this offer. I will buy a $150 digital GC online and then the $15 savings will load to my account for future use on Target supplies. I will use retailmenot to connect to Target 1st and get 2% cashback. The 5% red card savings will also apply on top of the reward. You find this under circle bonus offers in the site of app. I get them all the time and so does my husbands account. But… there’s always a but…. not everyone gets these. My daughter and Mom never get them and it frustrating!

I got it free for myself through my credit card that has a high annual fee and then that allowed me to get my husbands at a discount. I’m now addicted and will likely pay every year if I no longer have my Amex platinum. It’s my LLPP for the airport and my TSA is my LLMP 🤣

The next time you buy stuff at target you can apply it. In store they will usually ask you and online you choose use reward. I have to double check the expiration but I think it’s a year. I actually used $100 worth of rewards at the Target by Aulani
Can that be additional gift cards that you apply your reward to?

Thanks for the reminder! Mine is $10 off a purchase of $100 or more. $100 gift card and a small item I need for around the house, and I've earned an easy $10!

I don't use RetailMeNot but will look into it, too.
