No - it has not been offered at all this year... It was offered last summer to the people who booked bouncebacks for this time frame, but it has not been offered at all to the general public. And even though there has been some speculation on free QSDP being offered, I just don't see that happening at all this year either - and probably not next year. If it does get offered, I will happily switch, but it's doubtful it will include my resort anyways, so I will end up keeping the deal we have - which isn't a bad deal.

Today was wild. I haven't seen the city so under water!!
Getting to the entrance ramp was FLOODED a few feet. the Prius in front of me died!! i had to go around him thank goodness i have a HUGE SUV that was able to get threw all the high waters. as i'm driving on the expressway there are TONS of lights i figured there was an accident.. NOPE one of the off ramps there was water fountaining UP THREW THE STREET! i was amazed!!
I made it to work safely BUT it is a dark raining day that i am ready for PJ's and a bed with a movie!!!

So i was able to get a few things done here. i am up to date on everyone's reports!!
so now i'm off to do some research on Disney and menu's for my planner!

Sorry I didn't stop by yesterday... I had to work at Target, so it was a bit crazy here. I am glad you made it to work OK and home again.

The Great Chicago Flood!!! the way home was HORRIBLE! they closed SO MANY of our expressways all flooded!! will post more about this at the end!

The north side did get it worse then south. just lucky our city has the resources to fix and help the people in need!! it was 60 yesterday then DROPPED 20 degrees like nothing. I'm so glad Mark turned around!!! You didn't go to work did you?!?!?

people lost a lot of stuff with the basements and a few cars, but this wasn't like Katrina or the horrible blasts in Boston/Waco. Chicago got a really good BATH... just glad it FINALLY stopped last night.


So here is a bit of yesterday
so the story of the Prius? that made the news yesterday! thankfully nothing was said about the V8 SUV behind them just took off around them in the 2 foot lake which was surrounding the entrance to the expressway where they were stuck.
I am still in shock over the amount of water then fell!! they said if that was snow we would have gotten 70 inches.

don't know if this was on your news but this happened:

the water pipes are from 1905. there is video which is pretty wild to see. My friend is the alderman here and to see him on the news. I will be giving him some sarcastic remarks.... ever see the "mayhem" commercials for insurance??? yeah he was PSYCHO IN THE NEIGHBORHOODS The cars just like toppled in this huge sink hole!!! 3 of them!!!! no one thought to maybe MOVE THE CARS?!?! nope poof. gone. LIKE A GOOD NEIGHBOR STATE FARM IS THERE! Or city workers to the rescue pulling them out.
another funny story about this: so one of the residents came out talking with the workers and said how one of the vehicles belongs to a drug lord. BAAAAAAAAA HA HA HA HA KARMA!!! they took that car SO FAST you'd thought it was on fire!!!! no one was injured..
Most of the workers are working up north so the Chicago river doesn't take out most of the streets homes etc.sand bagging jersey walls everything. the Chicago river can't go over a 7 feet mark . well it was at 5 feet at 6am... they had to get over there and start something. then POOF street cave in.
the drive home was INSANE yesterday i can usually get in front of the kids school in 15-20 minutes it took me about an hour to get home. the one expressway i take was CLOSED. i wasn't happy. Not a single person told me... it's a expressway too. I could have taken what they call the skyway and would have made it home in about 10 minutes:

ok this scares me. the Free dining would really lower my end cost!!! we do dining plan well honestly the boys in my house can really eat... so OOP would kill me!! For some reason they believe they need to eat three meals a day too... who gave them that idea??? there are days where Matt can eat his dinner, finish mine and Meg's too. Took them to white castle one day for lunch and he ate 5 cheeseburgers along with some fries.
can you say GROWING SPURT??? Zack is the same way, less so them Matt there are his days when i watch him SCARF dinner and go looking for more. where do they put it???

It won't be open for us this year... Sad. But maybe for our little trip next year.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
Ours was a bit busy. Boys had an EXCITING game on Saturday. lost 6-4 went into extra innings. 2 of the 4 points were Matt's!! he was walked both times HE MADE IT HOME TWICE!
Then i had a wedding. A cousin of mine. they had one of those photo booths?? THOSE ARE WAY TOO MUCH FUN!!! especially when drinking. yum yum.

Sunday:
Woke up a little later then normal. Made out the e-vites for the communion. sent! remembering i am having the party at the house looking at said house decide to start cleaning walls. YUCK took all my pictures down cleaned 3 walls took me 3 hours. decided to rearrange the pictures on the walls because now i see we have WAY too many pictures up there i.e. 3 years of tee ball where the kids haven't played tee ball in 2 years. No pictures of football and cheerleading or Softball and Football? the last school picture was last year. Really?!? Now i need new frames. My walls need to be badly painted. How did cleaning walls become SUCH A PROJECT?!?!?
Then Matt is upstairs counting his money. he has 40 'bucks' he is saving and wants to put it in the bank for interest. now tells his siblings about "intest" and how they HAVE to get it in the back for our next vacation... Yep you guessed where.... DISNEY
well about 3:30 i stopped cleaning because i had to go and pick up nice outfits for the boys. All the way to the store the kids have me laughing! then THEY bring up Disney. More in a minute on this... the boys wanted shirts and ties!! off to J.C. Penny. find the pants boys try them on. for some reason they just didn't look right. after i put all the pants back i noticed the boys were actually trying the pants on OVER there regular pants. good grief. Time to look for shirts maybe we have a better fighting chance. Matt has a darker blue IZOD shirt Hand Zack a shirt it's a wee bit TOOOOO small but he is determined to get it on had us all in stitches, kids are FUNNY. Did get Zack a lighter blue Izod shirt. and had a tie. Need to find more clip on ties. Zack is walking around with the clip on clipped on his tee shirt and matt has his shirt on the hanger over his head. again laughing. knuckleheads. found the rest of the ties Matt picks his out. NO head pieces for Meghan. strike 1. the cashier is ringing us out. as the total???? 22.60
WHAT??? i feel bad... Umm did you only ring up one shirt? Nope she said she double checked and yep total 22.60! I do a happy dance right there in the store!
On to Macy's for a head thing for Peanut. Strike 2. nada. i have no idea where to go to next besides a bridal store.

I think Universal looks AMAZING! And I see many people on here that go there before, during or after a WDW vacation, so it is totally do-able. You can rent a car for just one day....Alamo and National both have locations at the Dolphin, so you could pick one up and drop back off pretty easily there.

Well yesterday i bought a Universal book and now reading. Looks pretty COOL. then last night the kids wanted to you tube everything since the darn commercial came on AGAIN.

look like we possibly will be going (if $$ cooperates) do a two day at universal AFTER Disney. I don't want to go before.

I will say i have such GREAT people over there on US board helping me!!! i was a little apprehensive but even the moderator chirped in and is helping a great deal. US is definitely a very different entity!!!!!
I don't know about how we will be getting to Florida right now. Driving sounds like the best bet for us especially because of the US possibility.

I unfortunately have to also chirp in here.
Tom's mom was put in the hospital from bleeding. well they diagnosed her with an ulcer. (terrible hospital) and was supposed to come home today. Until a Doctor looked at the x-ray and diagnosed her with stomach cancer. She is about 87 years old they have about 4 doctors on her case for the best way to proceed. I feel horrible for Tom...
