Why doesn't Kerry run on his nearly 20 years in the U. S. Senate? My father was in the battle of the bulge in WW II and ended up in a hospital in England. He wouldn't talk about his war experiences much at all. I think someone that bases his candidacy, almost totally on his war experiences, is missing something. I know several people that were in Vietnam and didn't reinact their experiences on 8 mm film. They also don't talk about their experiences often. Just my humble opinion. [/Q UOTE]
My Dad served in Korea and never talked about his experiences there. It wasn't until I was an older and watching M.A.S.H. and he made me turn it off that I finally heard about his experiences...(other then getting sweet potatoe pie at Thangsgiving instead of pumpkin like they were told they were getting) He received medals that we never knew about until after he died, because he never claimed them. My Mom got them for us just a few yrs ago to have.
I wish all this talk about who is more qualified to run the country based on who fought in a war and who didn't was over with...let's focus on the issues of today...not what happened, or
