If there is any such thing, where is the best spot to watch Wishes and not have to struggle to get out of the park with 2 small kids after. We would prefer being in the park but any suggestion is appreciated

If you have the time to maybe see it twice, here's one great way to view it. Get a reservation at O'hanas at the Poly for approx. 1/2 hour before Wishes is set to begin. Get there early, check in and request a window table (also request the window when you make the ressie in the first place). Grab a drink in the bar while you wait or take your kids around to the penny press machines or gift shop. Once seated (hopefully at your window table, but others will work out OK), enjoy your meal and at the right time, the lights will dim and the Wishes music will be piped into the restaurant! It is a truly magical experience and one of our family's favorite Disney memories. O'hanas also does cute games with the kids during the meal, so the whole thing becomes a great experience!

Anywhere on main street is the best. you can get out faster from there, but the crowds can be tough. we usually go back into tomorrow land and hang around until the crowds die down a bit, but the bus lines will be long if you do that. If you leave right after sometimes it's faster to leave through the shops on the left side.(you can walk most of the way through)

If you go up Main St. and head to the right, just before "hub"....there is a restaurant called the "Noodle Station" I think. Anyway, this place has a huge balcony that extends out over the water. If you get there early you can get a table and chairs right along the rail, you can hear and see everything. The only thing we weren't too crazy about was that they don't really dim the lights there, but overall it is probably our favorite spot to watch Wishes.

Can Wishes be seen from the beach/dock area at Ft Wilderness? Or even by the cabins (I doubt that is possible with tree coverage but I figured I would ask)

I don't think you will be able to see much from the FW beach area....you may be able to hear all of the fireworks.

Another thing to remember when you are staying at "any" WDW resort, you do NOT need to rush out of the park once the fireworks are over. Lots of stores remain open after theh show is over. We always like to browse through the shops and wait for the crowds to die down, before we go out the bus stop to catch a ride back to the resort. We usually end up on a bus that is no where near full. Just remember to find out how long the bus will be running from the park to your resort after "closing".

The show is much much better if you are where they're broadcasting the music, so I wouldn't recommend seeing the show from the WL parking area, for example, where there is a good view of the fireworks, but the music is far off in the distance.

I agree with the rest of the folks: If you want to avoid the struggle to get out of the park after the show, head in the other direction and stay in the park until the crowds have all left.

We watched it from the front of the castle. Everyone was sat on the floor watching it.

The tips about staying in the park until the rush has gone works. We went into fantasyland and did the dumbo ride. No queues!! All the tiny kids had gone home to bed.

Another good thing to do, is to exsit though the shops on main street, they all interlink. Again, we did this on a different night. The only thing is, if you exsit with the rush, the queues for the monorail are massive.

I like to grab a spot on Main Street right near Main Street Ice Cream parlor or Casey's. Then after Wishes, I duck in there and get something to eat while the park clears out.

Yeah wait for the crowd to leave the crowd in line too. Which puts you in the park for about another hour shop, eat, ppl watch, set in front of castle watch it change colors etc. OR get as far down Main st as possible very near the gate and make quick exit problem with that is you prolly will have to stand to see the fireworks and stand the whole time you are waiting for fireworks.

We watched from the train station at the end of Main Street. Great view, not crowded, and zip, out of the park when it was over.

We've watched wishes from the Poly beach - they pipe in the music stand near one of the speakers -

no crowds - you can get a boat from MK to the Polynesian, eat at Ohana's, then you are near TTC - however I found out the TTC doesnt have buses to resorts anymore - they're all at MK!!
