Where to try the duck...

We are going for free dining in August. We are trying to be a little more adventurous with our choices (rather than always alternating between steak and seafood). We have reservations at both Yak & Yeti and Chefs de France. Which of these has the better duck dish?

Can't say anything about Yak & Yeti, but the duck in France was always very good. My DH loves duck, so he always has it in restaurants, and every time it was nicely cooked (aka not too much), & very flavourful. Almost as good as mine!

I am trying Yak and Yeti for the first time in a couple of weeks, so I cannot comment on their duck. However, last year my 11 year old son had never had duck, he tried my duck at chef's and we ended up trading plates and I was forced to eat his filet so he could have the duck! He keeps talking about when we go this time, he can't wait to have the duck again at chef's.

I've never had duck and we've never been to Chef's. However, DH had the duck at Yak & Yeti and he REALLY enjoyed it.

I guess we will have to decide when we get there. I read a review where they said the duck at Yak & Yeti was greasy....but isn't ALL duck very fatty?? Of course, if it is beyond crazy hot and humid, we may be eating salads more often than not!

Like them both, but for someone trying duck for the first time, I would recommend Les Chef's. The duck at yak and yeti is a half duck while the one at Les Chef's has the breast meat sliced and a bone-in leg(therefore, easier to eat)
