Want a nice hotel in a safe area, narrowed it down to the following. Opinions? Thank you!

Fairfield
1460 S. Harbor Blvd, Anaheim

Hyatt
2035 S. Harbor Blvd

Residence Inn
1700 S. Clementine Street

Sheraton
1855 S. Harbor Blvd

Springhill
1160 West Ball Road

I can talk about four out of your five. Fairfield inn and residence in is showing its age, nice but not up to par with marriot usual standards, but not bad. I have not stayed at Sheraton for years but it was a very nice hotel then, but that was 15 years ago. Spring hill, my only problem with this one is it like sherayon and behind, they have redone the roads, but seems to me you either have to have a car and park it, or you have to take the bus.

May I make two suggestions. Since you seem to like marriot, have you thought about spring hill on katella, that one was really really nice. I know there is a courtyard further down on harbor, but I am told that there is a new one going up now and will be taken ressies soon right next to Fairfield inn on harbor. Being new that should be good also, at least up to date.

I will say my fav use to be residence in, but in jan when we went it was very old, tired, not filthy but just worn out and ragged. Hopefully since these two new Marriots are up the Fairfield and residence in. Will get an overhaul.

I've only stayed at the Fairfield of the ones listed. It's not bad, and the best perk is the walking distance. But, the rooms are a bit dated, it has exterior corridors, there's no free breakfast, and parking can be tricky. If you go with Fairfield, do not waste money on a themed room. They pretty much just put up some decals and a themed shower curtain. Not worth it. The fireworks view isn't bad, but also not particularly worth the money. If you're thinking Fairfield, I'd recommend Hojo, which is only a little further, or the new Courtyard next door if you're not planning on going until August or later.

Isn't there a Springhill on Harbor now, south of Katella? That one's closer than the one on Ball, so if you like Springhill, look into that one. From what I've heard, it's walkable (though a bit of a long walk) if you don't want to take a bus or drive.

I've never stayed in any of them but for us ease of getting "home" at night is a pretty big factor. The Fairfield's location (1 minute to the crosswalk) is unbeatable.

The Hyatt is nice, but it is about a mile south of the parks. If you don't mind the time spent on the shuttle, then it should be fine. There is a Target nearby and several restaurants, too.

The Residence Inn on Clementine has super nice staff. If you have groceries delivered, they will put them away for you. You can use 2 ART lines to get to/from the parks -- the one for the RI and the one for the Motel 6 next door.

The Sheraton Park is our go-to hotel. Nice staff, good view of the parks (for fireworks and WOC), easy parking. The walk to the parks is about 10 minutes or so straight up Harbor. Also, you can stop at several convenience stores on the way back to the hotel to get snacks and drinks.

As others have said, the Springhill Suites on the corner of Katella and Harbor is new and much closer to the parks. There is a 24 hour CVS on the ground level and a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.

All these hotels are in safe areas.
