Where to Stay ??

Hi- I am planning a trip to Disney April 17-23 for my daughters 4th birthday. I can't decide where to stay!! It will be just the two of us- I was thinking Animal Kingdom- but after reading the reviews I am unsure.

Would a deluxe resort be worth the extra money?
Which resorts are best for small children?

I would greatly appreciate any advice!!!!

My kids loved AKL when we stayed there, that was about 3 yrs ago and they were 2 and 9. We loved looking at the animals, they have a hunt you do to look for Hidden Mickey Heads, we had a ball doing that, as of today they still ask to go back there. Personal I ADORE AKL and would always chose to stay there.

Now we have also stayed at the value resorts, Allstar Music and Movies and Pop Century. It really didn't matter to my son who is the youngest when we were there. He didn't care about the themeing. He wanted a pool and that was it. My DD who is older likes the value resorts for the food court and game rooms. That's aall the mattered to her. My son was 3 when we stayed here.

We have also stayed at French Quarters, I LOVE IT and so does the kids, they love the pool slide, the playground near the pool, my son loves playing with the water fountain near the playground and they have very nice grounds to walk along. My son was 2 and 3 when we stayed here.

Personally, at this age kids only absorb so much until their overloaded and don't even see other stuff. One think which is a sure thing is the MK will be her favorite park. If your daughter loves Disney Princesses, you might consider a resort with a view of the castle. If she loves animals..the AKL, but the short bus rides to other parks can add up considerable amount of time over a stay. Overall, I recommend not being lured into spending money you may not have just because you get caught up in thinking you need to buy more to be happy. Step back and realize your daughter is going to be very happy just to be at WDW...period.
