We're getting married at the Yacht Club gazebo at noon. I had hoped to stay at the Yacht Club (anything to reduce my stress over running late!) but with the particular discount we're getting, we can only get the uber-expensive Concierge room, which, alas, is out of our price range right now.

My question is, you gals who got married at the Yacht Club, where did you stay? In general, did not staying at the site you're getting married at stress you out at all or is it not as bad as I'm envisioning?

Thanks in advance! :thumbsup2

Hi Purplegirl

I am also getting married at the yacht club 6 months and 18 day :Pinkbounc :cheer2: and I can't wait just noticed you where getting married around the same time and wanted to say congrats and to see how your wedding plans where going?

What type of Wedding are you having?

Unfortunately I cant help with the advise you need as we are staying at the yacht club.

Is there no way you can book direct through another company?

Wedding plans are going great so far. We got our contract in the mail and are ready to send it back. We're having an intimate, family only. How about you?

And the reason we're only getting weird rates is because my boyfriend is a cast member. They only get certain rooms at certain rates and the Concierge is the only one available right now for them. I may call just as a lay person and see what kind of rates we can get for a regular room.

I can't believe we're both so close! Eek!

alas we were married at the yacht club & stayed at the yacht club concierge, but it was very nice & so convinient we even had a view of the gazebo from our balcony. so not much help but congrats!

Hi purplegirl,
You may be better off just booking a regular room with Disney. Also, I know that Expedia has good rates for Disney hotels, but I'm not sure how far in advance you can book them. You could also look into the Beach Club and Boardwalk because they are close to the Yacht Club.
We have a similar problem, my parents are DVC members and we could only get rooms at Saratoga Springs. We are getting married at Sea Breeze Point, and would have liked to stay at the Boardwalk or the Beach Club but they are booked.
Good luck with all your planning. I'm sure everything will work out fine.
