Since I've had to reschedule this year's trip, I can't decide on where to stay next year. Money will be a little on the tighter side, but will have my AP. Which moderate or value would you choose & why? This will be most likely another solo trip. I have stayed at the All Star Music, POR & CBR and do not care to stay there again, which is why they are not listed.

Thanks again!!

Hi Terk-1

My voted is for Pop Century, especially if a value resort is all you can swing. I stayed there in Jan. and loved it. It's new, the theming is great and it's easy to get from the room to the food court/buses - unlike ASMu. I was in the 90s, but didn't find a decade I didn't like.

BUT, if you can swing it, I'd do POFQ. It's a great resort - intimate and all new stuff!!! Plus you have the boats to DTD!! :teeth:

i second the POFQ if you can get a great AP rate. it is quaint and very nicely decorated. the trees provided great shade.
for a single it is a very nice place to stay.

good luck.:sunny:

Travelin' Tigger & 232271,
Thanks for your votes & comments.

Anybody else? Keep 'em coming!!

Never stayed there but if you have an AP you could get a good rate (I hope). I don't like the value resorts. Tried them twice...too small, the beds are awful and there are tons of kiddings screaming and running around. We're a childless couple so it's just not right for us. However, I think if you had kids they would love the big icons - kind of fun.

If I were going solo - I'd definitely want the "upgrade" of a moderate. We've only stayed at CBR and CS as far as moderates go. But, I hear really good things on these boards about POFQ. We've visited it before and it seems lovely. A quick boat ride to Pleasure Island and Downtown Disney - that's pretty cool.

Have a great trip. Don't go value. The cost difference can't be that much. I'd rather scrimp on something else....

Of the choices you have listed, I have not actually stayed at any of them.....but I HAVE visited them.

As another solo WDW person, I would choose POFQ for sure. I have heard many times that the value resorts are crowded with lots of small, noisy children.
At POFQ, it is really pretty, and quaint, and that boat ride to DTD is a quiet, relaxing plus.

Thanks Claudia & PamNC!!!

Keep those opinions & votes coming kids!

Thanks again!!

Given that you're looking for values & mods, my immediate answer would have been Coronado Springs - but it wasn't one of the choices! (Does the board limit you to just four options?)

Looking over the lake early in the morning or after dark is just beautiful - one of my favorite views in all of WDW.

It looks like things have been narrowed down to Port Orleans French Quarter & Pop.

Since I've never been to Pop, how is it? Is it really spread out? Does it share its buses with the All Stars? How is the transportation? How is the foodcourt? Is it crowded and noisey?

I have not been to the French Quarter in a few years. How is it now that it has been renovated? What has changed? How are the rooms? What about the service? Is the pool & hot tub still the same? Does it still share buses with POR & if so, does it still pick up at POFQ first?

Thanks again for all your help!!!
