We're still trying to decide between CSR and POR for our trip in 10/08. If we stay in CSR, where should we try to stay that would be most convenient to the Pepper Market and bus stops consdering we'll have a 2 and 6 year old with us. thanks!!!!!

Also, what building at POR is the best location for the least amount of time to get to food and buses with the little ones?

any ideas?

thanks!!!!

I like CSR better, but I haven't stayed at either yet (CSR in Feb). It just looks much nicer to me. Buzz has a great website devoted to CSR. I think the Cabana's seem to have the best location. The casita's are pretty close as well. The ranchos and cabana's have the best theming I think.

This website pretty much answers any questions pertaining to CSR. Have fun planning.

I went with 2 of my girlfriends last year and we stayed at CSR. We really liked it and will probably stay there when we go back next December. We were in Ranchos 7B I think...It seemed far away from EVERYTHING! But it was my fault since I booked it and didn't specify a location. I thought that since we didn't have little kids or anything we wouldn't mind the walk! It was fine going to the parks because there was a bus stop right next to the parking lot behind our building, but in the morning it seemed like forever to get to El Centro and the Pepper Market! It was great though, really nice.

Here are some good building choices.

Cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site (main pool) over the wooden bridge. (Most convenient location and most preferred)

Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site (and playground) and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building. (Closest to the Pool)

Cabana 8b and 9a are in between the 2 above. 9a has a quiet pool (and is the old smoking optional building).

Ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

Casita 3 has great courtyard and fountain views but you will have to walk or ride the internal shuttle to get to the pool.

Casita 5 has some nice fountain and lake views and is close to the Dig Site but farther from the main building. It's also close to bus stop #2.

I'd pick CSR!! They don't share buses with another resort. I've read a few complaints about the sharing at POR in the past week or so. That's been an ongoing issue.

I would choose CSR. My family has stayed there twice, and we are looking to stay there on our next trip to WDW. Both times we stayed in Casitas 1 bldg, it is the closest to the Pepper Market, however it is hike to the Dig Site (and main pool), (approx. 1/2 mile away). There is a walking track that surrounds the lake and we walked, with DD 2 year old, and it was no problem for any of us. If you do not feel like walking, they have a golf-cart shuttle to bring you from one area of the CSR resort to another area of the CSR resort. Assuming they have not changed the bus routes to the various WDW Parks, Bus Stop 2, which is by Casitas 2 and 3, is actually the first stop for the buses, and not Bus Stop 1. This was the case for us when we where there in July 2007.

I have never stayed at POR, but I do knoe of folks that hvae stayed there, and will not stay there again due to poor transportation issues. CSR does not share bus routes with any other resort, and POR does share bus routes with POFQ, and possibly others.

I hope this helps, and I hope that you have a great time.
