i am looking for some advice from the experts.......where should we spend new years eve when in Orlando

have been looking at the options and each of the major parks seems to have something special (extra fireworks etc) but dont know which to pick........help :confused3

We will be spending our first WDW New Year's Eve at Epcot very soon. Obviously I can't say from experience but from reading the boards I picked up that Epcot can accommodate crowds better than other parks.

We have spent 5 NYE's there, every one of them in Epcot, if we go again it would be Epcot again. For us its the perfect NYE. We get to UK pavillion for 7pm which is Midnight back home, great atmosphere, then they do 7:30 fireworks which are the best display I have ever seen. Its the usual plus some.
We then go offsite for a meal. We used to finish the evening at DTD for the midnight fireworks there but they are no more since PI closed.

Downside is its a long day from opening and crazily busy but well worth it.

We have spent the last two New Years in Epcot and it is fab! Must admit that we don't actually tend to arrive until noonish though, last year it was crazy busy and CMs were just waving people into the car parks, no paying to park as the lines of traffic were backing up onto the highways!

You will love it!

I think that Epcot of all the Disney parks is the best for NYE as it's so big and there is more space for people to spread out, the World Showcase is great to have a wander around later on too. I wouldn't expect to get on that many rides as in 2007 we saw a 7 hour wait for Soarin! :scared1:

None of us could bear to be in amongst such large crowds so a few years back we did the Disney Aloha dinner package at the Poly. Afterwards we rode the monorail around the resorts to see the decorations and ended back at the Poly beach sipping cocktails and watching the midnight fireworks going off in the Magic Kingdom. A great taste of Disney without the crowds.

Last year we had hoped to make it to Celebration where they had nightly snow fall and a free concert but were too tired so watched the Seaworld fireworks from our balcony at Cypress Harbour instead.

There are plenty of ways to spend NYE in Orlando, I'm sure people will tell your their special experiences.

We have spend a NYE in Hollywood Studios which we really enjoyed as a) we were able to walk in there at 6pm for our 7pm dinner reservation (having spent the afternoon relaxing at Stormalong Bay) so we were relaxed having not already spent the day in the parks. The music and fireworks were great and we were able to walk back to the BCV by 12:30am. Next year we will probably do the same thing, however I would love to try Epcot. I am just not sure that I want to spend so long in the park before hand in order to get in before or if the park closes due to capacity.

Year before last we were planning on going into epcot later in the evening, we went for a really nice meal off site and headed over to Epcot around 9ish, we went over to the boardwalk and changed our mind as we really couldn't face the crowds so decided to stay where we were, there was music and a dj and we pulled up some sun loungers and laid on the beach outside the yatch club ( it was pretty warm year before last, lol) we had a really nice night.
They were still letting people into Epcot at around 11.45.
