I don't know what's best, but the easiest is to start at your local used book store. They won't take everything, but you might get rid of a lot and pocket a bit of money. Then the rest of your books, you could try selling online at something like halfprice or amazon.
If you itemize on your federal taxes, you could also donate them and write off the 'yard sale' price. I tend to go this route, giving them to Goodwill or a elementary school (back when we had kids books).
I sell mine at Half Priced Books, which I believe might be a national chain? Don't always get a ton of money but they always buy what I have and it feels great to get rid of them and walk out with cash in my pocket!
Do you have a Hastings there? We buy used books for cash or credit. I tried listing a bunch of books in that Amazon thing where they buy them from you and not one was accepted. You could try half.com but then you'd have to keep them around for awhile waiting for them to sell..same if you sell on Amazon.
