Where to rent a car at WDW??

We are staying at BLT in August and will need a car the last dy of our trip to get us to Tampa. Where in the World can you get a rental? TIA.

Since you are staying at BLT I think Alamo would work well. They have an outlet near the Car Care Center. They will send someone to pick you up anywhere in WDW and they will also give you a ride back to anywhere in WDW.

There is a desk also inside the Swan and Dolphin (not sure which one of the two exactly). It is convenient if you are at Epcot for the day and then you go there to take the car.
However the desk closes at 4pm.

Don't automatically think that you'll get the best deal at Alamo. Just about all the major car rental companies have offices at WDW, several of them a very short walk away from the DTD bus stop. Check out the sticky thread at the top of this forum for a list of the agencies and then compare prices.

Actually, I think you are better off at the Dolphin, unless you want them to come pick you up. You can easily take WDW transportation to the Dolphin, or take a bus to DHS and walk to the Dolphin.

We rent with AVIS at the Hilton next to DTD. It was extremely easy and great service. It was also the cheapest for a 1 day rental when compared to others. Easy bus ride to DTD then simply walk across the street right at the stoplight. I just incorporated it into our plans by doing DTD that day for lunch. Love Earl

We've used that Avis location frequently. Very easy to get to.

You call the Car Care Center, and they pick you up in front of CR lobby. BOTH Alamo and National are at the CCC. Rates are no worse than airport. The trick
is finding that location when you book. Most car rental discount links won't take you to it. It has a distinct code, you can find here on WDWinfo under Transportation.
