Where to pack Trading Pins?

We are leaving on Tuesday, and I am starting to pack. Can anyone tell me please where you pack your trading pins, in your checked luggage or your carryon? We arrive very early at 8 am so I wanted my ds to be able to have his pins with him. We will be using magical express, We will be going to the parks after we get there. thank in advance

You won't have any problems carrying-on Disney trading pins. According to this page of the TSA's website (http://www.tsa.gov/interweb/assetlibrary/Permitted_Prohibited_8_23_2004.pdf), you can carry-on items such as knitting needles, tweezers, and corkscrews, so I can't imagine that Disney pins are more potentially weapon-like than those items.

... and now that I think about it, my kids WORE their lanyards (with pins) onto the airplane on our return trip.

My kids put their pins in their carry on bags and we have never had a problem

My dd's pins were packed in her suitcase. Her bag did have a ticket stating that it had been searched on the trip home....not sure if it was because of the pins.

If you want to see your pins again take them in your carry on. MCO is very used to seeing the pins.
