The Older folk's and I in are group usually spend a couple nights hanging out at Downtown Disney or Back at the resort. We really enjoy Narcoossess's at the GF and Sommerfest. What are a couple other places to get some unique drinks.

I like to go to the ESPN Club. The other place I like to go for a drink or two is the Adventurer's Club. Oh yeah, I like to drink at Jelly Rolls.

We used to love going to the Catwalk bar in MGM. I understand it's no longer open :-(

If you are really adventerous you can 'drink around the world' at EPCOT. My friends and I did this last summer - well we attempted to at least. We got stuck in Germany drinking German wine and Beck's. But, one of my friends was very adventerous and would walk to the other countries and bring back the beer and wine from there just to say he did 'drink around the world'. Needless to say we all had about the same amount of drinks, so we could all say we 'drank around the world'. We started in Mexico around 3:45 and finished in Canada for last call and Illuminations. Managed to see the Tapestry of Dreams parade too.

Assuming you mean beer, the best spot is at the Crew's Cup Lounge over at the Yacht Club Resort. They have about 30 selections or so--many are the usual suspects, but several unique offerings too. All the Epcot countries have their "own" beers, but the offerings seem mainly based on which brewery helps sponser the pavilion (ie-Becks at germany, etc)
Big River grille has their own microbrews (Wowzer's Wheat being my favorite).
However--if Bud and Coors lite are all you're after, then almost any of the resort bars/lounges will suffice. In that case, I like Mizner's Lounge over at the Grand Floridian.

DH and I love to "hang out" at Germany with a Beck's and listen to the oompa band and people watch.

Also have enjoyed a beer at Captain Jack's--especially if you want a seafood appetizer. Have seen people drinking some really yummy looking daquiris there.

For a view, the Palace hotel near DD has lounge on their top floor. I think it's called Arthur's 27?

If you like beer, Tuskar beer from Kenya is the best lager my husband and I have had. It is actually a smooth tasting lager beer. You can get it at the Animal Kingdom lodge or inside Animal Kingdom in Africa.

The lounge at the Poly is a nice place to have a cold one in a very relaxed, quiet atmosphere. Very low-key and dimly lit and, if I recall correctly (too many cold ones?) there is a nice view over the lagoon. Plus, they serve a drink called Lapu-Lapu (sp?) This is a pineapple that has had the top cut off, cored and crushed, then mixed with various liquors. Bacardi 151 is the rum so having more than one of these is looking for trouble!

Check out the thread called "Drinking Around The World Showcase" for more info. ;)

Cool!

Any word on what the unique one are? I haven't found many good beers down there and am happy for any leads.

when I saw this post, I thought to myself "this is an interesting post, one that isn't seen here too often"....then I opened it & saw that a fellow Buffalonian wrote it....we all think alike....have fun!!!!! By the way, my husband liked the beer he had at the english pub in WS....it was a pint....we saved the glass....the thing must have stood 2 feet tall!

Zurg:
As memory serves, some examples would be
Red Stripe
Dixie Crimsoned Voodo
Samuel Smith Nut Brown Ale

Alas--nothing on draft though---.

I did a search on Google for Crew's Cup Lounge and found the following site (which is now my home page :) )

http://www.beertravelers.com/lists/disney.html

The Crew's Cup Lounge in the Yacht Club has the best selection, with Sierra Nevada, Pilsner Urquell, Watney's Red Barrel, Samuel Smith's Pale Ale, Guinness, Heineken, Red Stripe and Blackened Voodoo, all in bottles, and Sam Adams Boston Lager on draft.
This article actually used the word 'quaff' !

LOL

Buz:
A good site indeed--but now woefully out of date. Fireworks factory no longer exists, nor does Juan and Onley's. Pretty sure that Special Brew at Territory Lounge is now gone and pretty sure the draft Sam Adams at Crew's Cup is gone too.
Sadly, the beer offerings at WDW (especially in the hotel restaurants and lounges) has deteriorated quite a bit since the mid-90's. They used to have a fine beer called Safari Amber on draft, available at Jiko's and Victoria Falls Lounge. That's now "history" as well--. One time several years ago,the Brown Derby had Northwest Raspberry Wheat on the menu. Glad I had one, 'cause I never saw it again!!

Kind of made me smile seeing St. Pauli Girl and Heinekin touted as "special" beer:D
But I guess compared to Bud and Coors Lite--

What's needed is an update to that site you found---.

Aint that the sad truth.

I have a hard time finding a place off property to stock up too.

IMHO St. Pauli Girl and Heinekin are what I call Euro-Bud and it aint no complement.

Where is Glen Rock PA?

Zurg:
Glen RocK is in S. Central Pa.--about 10 miles S. of York Pa. and about 30 miles N. of Baltimore. Right along the I-83 corridor.

Here's a web site I just found and which might at least get your mouth watering:

www.beeradvocate.com

I just started posting on it myself..

I have read some stuff there but not posted
