We will be at WDW for my 50th and we're trying to find a good restaurant to go to that evening (12/30). I was thinking about Fultons Crab House, but can't find any reviews on this restaurant. Is this place good? I would like to get the lobster tail and made reservations but am now having second thoughts.

I'm open for any suggestions. I've also thought about Yachtsmen Steakhouse or Garden Grill, but would really like to have lobster.

Thanks for any help.

If you're thinking about YSH, Shula's is by far the best steakhouse.

We looked at their menu when we stayed at the Dolphin last year and we thought they were very expensive. Does the entree come with anything like potatoes or vegetables, or is everything ala carte? I know Fulton's is expensive, but I'm willing to pay more for lobster.

I don't know why I put Garden Grill in my first post. I meant California Grill. LOL!! I guess I'm just tired. But it's probably too late to get PS there anyways.

I'm not sure about Shula's. It's still a possibility because steak would be my 2nd choice, but now I'm thinking about the Portobello Yacht Club also. I've checked out the menus there and they have lobster also. Anyone have any opinions about this restaurant?

Shula's has a 3lb lobster. Not sure how they cook it but I'm sure wherever you go it will be good.

Yes, I saw that on their menu, but I like just the tail. I also prefer Australian lobster tail when I can find it. It seems like no one goes to Fulton's because I can't find any reviews on it, so maybe it's not so good after all.

I ate at Fulton's last year and it was great. We went because we got an AmEx discount and so we made a PS that day for 6:30pm and we got there and it was mobbed. There was a walk-in line that was longer than any restuarant at a park or resort that I've seen (though I've never been during the holidays so I migh change that after this trip). Anyway, I had some sort of fish and it was great and my fiancé had a crab and lobster dish and he loved it. I have also been to Portobello Yacht Club, though not in a few years. That too was great food, I sampled a bit of everything from a chicken dish, to pizza, and the linguini with white clam sauce that I ordered. I also got to try each person's appetizers and they too were great. We have tried to go back there again, but the lines were always too long and we hadn't made a PS. This time we're going to try and hit at least one of them since they were both great, so hopefully we'll get there. I haven't ben to the Shula's in WDW, but have been to the one in Washington, DC,nd so though it was good, I don't think it would be Disneyish enough for me to eat there on my birthday dinner in WDW. If I were celebrating my brithday here in DC then I would go, but in WDW I want something that feels more like Disney. Either one is great so have fun and happy birthday !!

Fulton's has a large and loyal following--unfortunately, it dosen't include me!! The service there each time we ate was absolutely wretched. I should add that the food was good and lobster there is quite popular.
IMHO, Portobello is much the preferred restaurant.
Why not look at the menus on line and see if lobster is available at even more spots? I never order it myself, so I can't help with any direct experience.

Thanks for the info. It looks like you either love the place or hate it.

I've been looking at the menus and haven't found too many places that serve lobster tail. Portobello's does have it, but serve it with spaghetti. Not sure if they mean they serve it the traditional way with drawn butter and spaghetti on the side or not, so I'm a little hesitant to try that restaurant. I found another that has lobster, but it is rock lobster and I can get that here where I live at a lot of different restaurants.

Any other comments are appreciated.

Did you check the menu at the Flying Fish at Boardwalk?
They might have Lobster.
Also Narcoosee's at the Grand Floridian specializes in seafood so Lobster may be there also.
Both very highly rated.

Thanks Dsnygrl00. Narcoosee's is a possibility. I looked at Flying Fish's menu and they don't have lobster.

I'm still trying to decide, but we would prefer to be in the DD area. My DH wants to have an evening without the kids and leave them at DQ (15&13). I'm a little hesitant about leaving them, but he thinks they will be fine as long as they stay together. Has anyone done this with kids of this age? Maybe I'm a little over protective. Also I would like them to be there for my birthday.
