We will at DW next week. I am wondering if there are places to get good non-meat meals at the parks? (some better than others?)
Thanks in advance for your help
Debbie

Columbia Harbor House in the MK has an excellent clam chowder and also a delicious fried fish filet. :)

The Rose & Crown and the counter service has fish and chips and the Coral Reef---seafood. The menus at www.allearsnet.com will show other selections at each resort and park. I forgot that I need to plan meals for that first friday of Lent down there---there always kiddie meals available with peanut butter and jelly and mac n' cheese for any little kids.

Thanks, I will keep these in mind. my problem is I can not have shellfish. I am sure I can find something:mickeybar

We've found that many restaurants seem to add an extra meatless dish during Fridays in Lent. Or maybe we just notice them more then! We've never had a problem finding things. Sometimes it is shrimp and pasta though. The Plaza has tuna fish. And of course Rose & Crown and Columbia HH as the otheres mentionned. Mama Melrose at DST has flatbreads that you could order without meat as well as a 4 cheese one.

Do you know what park you plan to be at?

We are missing Lent by one day and thank godness because we have a child allergic to shellfish as well. I am sure cheese dishes will be readily available, such as quiche or that old standby and my personal fave, pizza.

It seems like they've added more and more vergtarian entrees over the past few years,so you should have quite a few options. I think the first place to start would be to figure out where you'll be that day, then you can start looking at menus for something that sounds good to you and your tastes.

And the most important part of the meal, DESSERT, is meat-free. :earboy2:

Enjoy your trip and your meals!

Well we will be checking in to WL on Ash Wednesday. Not sure If going to a park or DTD yet. On Friday we will be at MK. We will also be eating at WCC at WL that night. (we have a grand gathering)

if you end up at DTD on Ash Wednesday, Wolfgang Puck might be a good choice. The menu is very extensive and everything we've ever ordered has been good. It does get very busy though so if we have dinner there we like to go on the early side. We usually go there for lunch.

At MK, we've eaten at both CRT and LTT for lunch during Lent and had good meatless dishes.

In the parks I would recommend Columbia Harbor House (good fish!) and the Fish & Chips place in UK in EPCOT (even better fish)!!

Then there is always the cheese pizza and salad - maybe at pizza planet (but I have never been there.)

We're also arriving on Ash wednesday. We are planning on going to Shutters which has a linguine dish (my wife hates seafood and fish except ... scallops and anchovies - ick!).

I would suggest The Flying Fish on the Boardwalk, BlueZoo at the Dolphin or Artist's Point at the WL.

Lots of restaurants offer salmon, if you like that. And believe it or not, I had the best fish and chips at the Mara, the food court at AKL.
