Where to go for a good sugar-free dessert?

Surely there's got to be somewhere on site that has good sugar-free desserts? I'm going to be traveling to WDW with my parents shortly, and they're both diabetics, and I'd like to be able to surprise them with a stop somewhere for good sugar-free treats.

I know about the sugar-free ice cream at the ice cream shop on Main Street. What else is out there? We'll be doing two sit-down dinners, but we aren't sure where yet (though I'm thinking one may/will be Jikos if they're as good as they were 2 years ago)

I've heard that at the ice cream social in the Land you can request sugar free. This is a charater social

The food court at the Land also has sugar-free ice cream, so you can get that without attending the social. (According to my Mom, the ice cream shop on Main Street did not have it when we were there.)

For dinner at Chef Mickey's there were a couple of sugar-free dessert selections at the buffet. The brownies were excellent!

The bakery in Norway has sugar free chocolate mousse that is to die for.

Also, most of this sit down restaurants have a sugar free alternative. It may or may not be on the menu though. Just ask.

Most notable at a sit down restaurant for me is the sugar free apple cranberry cobbler ala mode at Brown Derby.

If you do a search on this board for "sugar free" it should bring up quite a few threads on this topic.

Pretty Sure that Beaches and Cream has some sugar free offerings as well!

I've read there's a great sugar-free, crust-less cheesecase at the Fountain Bakery (or whatever the name is) in Epcot. It's on my list to try, plus the choc. mousse at Norway bakery.

For a good source of information about sugar-free WDW dining, try the pictoral dining reviews at ourlaughingplace.com. One of the frequent reviewers cannot eat sugar and there is always interesting information about different options.

Yeah!
All this is news to me... I figured WDW didn't have any sugar free desserts (I don't see any real "lowcarb meals" either... I mean some items are lowcarb but not like they have purposely made some meals lowcarb.... for instance even the meat meals come with potatoes and things like that- yanno?) and so I planned on just bringing some with me and doing without dessert the majority of the time. This is great to think there are some places I can have a treat without having sugar!
Woohoo.... getting more excited by the minute. :)

I plan to ask what can be substituted for potatoes, rice, etc, if I don't want those carbs--- I'm expecting another veggie or some lettuce/tomato, from what I've read from other posters. We're finding that most waitstaff around home are very used to having people say they're eating low carb. I recently was given a dinner salad in place of the hamburger bun and french fries in a local sports bar.

I'm going to definitely ask the server for options, or even call ahead and discuss it, if we're planning a really nice meal. DH often dislikes the starch and/or veggies and will request other choices he sees on the menu that are paired with other meats.
