Where to get my mom a birthday dessert?

Ok, I'm sure the answer is out there somewhere... But here is my question:

So I'm thinking of celebrating my mom's birthday during our trip to Disneyland. I'm thinking of doing something special, like a cake or dessert. It will only be my mom, possibly my sister, and myself... so it doesn't have to be anything big.
1) If we were going to a restaurant for a dessert or cake for her birthday, where would you suggest we go? NOW it will ONLY be for dessert, no meal. It could be counter service or table service or a kiosk.
2) If I wanted to get her a cake or dessert, is there a store nearby that I could walk to and pick it up for her? And roughly, how much will that cost me?

3) Anything else you guys suggest I do for my mom's birthday otherwise?

I ordred a cake a couple weeks before my trip and they brought it out when we ate at Goofys Kitchen. It was a 6 inch round cake and it cost $33.

I'm wondering the same thing. We're staying at the Park Vue Inn. Since they have a Cold Stone Creamery in the building I was thinking of ordering an ice cream cake from there that we could eat after the parks on the big day.

Steakhouse 55 at the DLH has a 24-layer cake that's supposed to be to-die-for:

Jazz Kitchen in DTD has an absolutely sinfully delicious dessert they call double chocolate bread pudding, but it is actually a chocolate souffle. They bring it hot to your table along with a pitcher of dark chocolate and white chocolate to pour into/over the souffle. OMG...it's heavenly!!

This is a cake you can order at any Disney Table Service location. There is a lot of variety and "upgrades" a few days ago someone posted pictures of a few.
