Hi there Oh Sage People of the Universal Board...

My DH want to join friends in a day at Universal (Not IOA) and we need the place to buy the most economical ticket. We heard a rumour that there used to be a 3 day pass for Canadians that never expired?!?!

We want to return in a few years but will only buy that kind of ticket if the price point is very good.

We were also asking if there was anything planned for X-mas. We plan on visiting near the 17th of December...

Any closures planned?

We are planning to use the Unofficial Guide one day touring plan for universal...Has anyone ever used this plan???

I know that this is a lot of questions from a newbie but I am sure that the collective GENIUS here on this board can help me...
Thanks in advance

USF has the Macy's Day Parade from mid-December to the beginning of January.

I haven't heard of any deals for Canadians, but there is the deal of buy 2 days, get 1 free. You have to use all 3 days within 7 days of the first.

The Macy's Day parade is supposed to be wonderful. I definitely plan on checking it out this year. Especially with my ap. If you go to www.orlandorocks.com, I believe they have pictures of last years.

We've never found a Canadian Deal. You can go to CAA and get passes but they really aren't as good a deal as some that can be found at www.uescape.com. You will also get the best bang for your buck by staying at one of their resorts. Try giving them a call and asking for their various rates, including the Entertainment rate. If you find a good one, then go out and buy the Entertainment book with the discount card. Also check www.hotelkingdom.com for good deals. You can get Royal Pacific Resort for $118/night for Dec. 17. Staying on site allows you express passes for every ride that will save you the time of waiting in the regular lines. There are also some very good deals on 2 year annual passes if you are intending on spending enough time there over the next couple of years.

I think all rides are planned to be open for the Christmas rush.
