Where to get card ideas?

I am planning DS's birthday party and he has chosen the theme DC Super Friends (the child like version). There are no supplies for this theme so I am on my own...I can do it though! I have never made cards before, but I am thinking about making his invitations. Where would I go to get ideas for the layout of the invite? I need something fairly simple (but still impressive) and not too girly. Any suggestions?

This is my absolute favorite magazine, Paper Crafts. I didn't look too far, but I'm sure you can find some ideas there!

I always make the invites for my kids' parties...I am a big fan of clipart...you can find some cool fonts at dafont.com...they have superhero fonts and stuff...

Just think of things the superfriends say...for our spiderman party we did "Spidey Sense tingling"...and I made the invite look like a newspaper...just get your son involved...he'll have ideas...

I always like fold out stuff. A frog opening it's mouth when you open a card are very easy to make but very effective as well.
