Where to get best deal?

Book as early as possible, we booked our upcoming cruise when the rates first came out ... It would be almost $3000 more to book now!

thats right- thats about what Im paying more- and thats WITH the 10% off!
well, thats what I'm being CHARGED more- still dont know if I'll actually afford and PAY it in the end or cancel.

book early. we booked our 2005 cruise 19 months early. better early the last minute. DCL dont do the lower the price the closer the cruise gets. so the earlier you book the more you save::yes::

I booked my first cruise through a UK operator who were very good and organised everything, however for the second cruise I booked through Dreams Unlimited.

Their service was fast, and they have kept in E-mail contact.

On booking the Panama 14 day cruise, I was not on the ship and therefore couldn't take advantage of any 10% discount there.

Like many I saw the prices go up after release at 1pm on May 5th, and, 'panicked' a bit that I should buy over the Internet there and then, the prices kept going up minute by minute it seemed.

However dreams e.mailed a quote which was, with their discount $200 less than the first booking I could have made on the Internet.

They keep in touch and the staff are friendly, ( even though so far by e-mail, and even tell you if they are going on holiday and a replacement to contact.

I recommend Dreams, http://www.dreamsunlimitedtravel.com/index.html

I did finally book with DU. I found out why I got such a better deal with them. They have a block of cabins reserved for the cruise I signed up on. Of course, we couldn't get our preferred cabins as it seems that we have to choose one of the cabins within the block, but to save $800, it was worth it to me. And they have been very attentive as far as answering my questions thus far.

Join DVC. You can use points for as few as one person on board & pay their discounted cash price for the rest.

We love DVC! It guarantees I get my DH to WDW every year & sometimes more often. :)

Where do you suggest we look for prices and there any other specifics we should consider/look for?

Whatever you do, don't forget to notify your TA that you have done a DCL cruise before so that they write the Castaway Club number into the reservation record...That way whatever cruise you DO book you'll be listed as a member of the Castaway Club and get your stateroom (?) present and CC party invitation...

We just transfered our reservation to Dreams Unlimited and saved $665 on the price we had with DCL. They have been very quick to answer all of my questions and so far I could not be happier with the service I have received. :hyper:
