:flower1: Has anyone shopping lately seen any shorts in the stores? Any help would be appreciated! :flower1:

I ordered some through the Sears catalogue. That's the only place that I've seen any shorts. Funny thing is lots of stores have bathing suits out but no shorts!

Penneys has tons in the spring catalog I got over the weekend. I have also seen shorts appearing in our local stores as well.

I don't know how you feel about resale/thrift stores but the ones around here have tons of shorts (and cheap too :D ).

I didn't see shorts specifically, but I was shocked to see a huge bathing suit section in JC Penney! It wasn't just the one rack set aside for people who have hot tubs or are taking cruises or traveling to the carribean during the winter. Blew my mind bc. this was last week when we (in NJ) had wind chills in the single digits! I couldn't even think of bathing suits!

All of the other stores in the mall were putting their winter stuff on clearance (that's what I was there for ;) ) and wheeling out the racks of spring/summer stuff.

Also, sporting goods stores seem to have shorts and T's out all year round for people who are looking for stuff to wear inside the gyms.

You may not get anything on any great sale but I don't think you'll have any problem finding them.

Lands End and LL Bean (catalogs & websites) both have shorts and can be sent 2 day UPS. Also, they carry Lands End at Sears and may have some there. I saw lots of kids Spring/Summer clothing at Macy's, didn't look for adults, but I bet they have them.

I hope you have warmer weather that I did last week or that my husband is experiencing this week (he is at a conference at the Swan/Dolphin). It was cold and only the bravest souls were wearing shorts. I didn't even unpack them from my suitcase. Good luck!

I was also going to suggest a Sporting Goods Store. They seem to carry shorts year round.

I just saw shorts that were being clearanced out at Kohls and Sears. They were going for $2.00. They had tons of them, but that may be because I live in CO.

I live in the desert southwest, so we have shorts and swimwear available year-round! :)

Try online for J.C. Penney, Target, WalMart, Kohl's, Chico's, etc., as well as Lands' End and L.L. Bean.

If you need plus sizes, try Lane Bryant online. Don't mean to insult anyone--just don't know what size range is needed!

Old Navy.com also has shorts available - both in regular and their new plus sizes. Not a big selection, but they are nice - I bought a couple of pairs of them at the end of last summer on sale

Lands End Sport Knit Shorts are my favorite. You can order on line and get them very quickly.

I also would go with Lands End. I just love there stuff, and you will get them within 2 - 3 days. At least I always do when I order from them which is often.

I was at the mall today (Chicago suburbs) and JC Penney had the largest selection of shorts. I'm also looking for our trip to Cancun in a few weeks.

I saw bathing suits and mens shorts at Target the other night, i wasnt loking at clothes and only noticed them because they were obvious. I would think were there are bathing suits one would find shorts. Good luck

I had this exact problem last year at this time. I couldn't find anything here in the Northeast. We own a consignment shop and are starting to get requests for them too, which we're just starting to accept.

I know last year right around 2/1 I was able to make a huge profit selling them on ebay. Much more than I was able to sell them for in May and June. I've been watching but they're not going yet.

I was going to answer by saying unless you live in Texas (or some other state like ours)- you'd probably find it easier to find shorts by buying online. But I see others have already had that same train of thought. LOL

I just bought some in Target for my 2 DD's for our trip (We leave next week!!! :cool1: )...They also had just put out some gym/workout style shorts for women...but these legs are ready for daylight yet... :sunny:
