Hi all!:yay: I am new to Disney and I am very excited about my first trip. Here is my problem:
I have to make my reservations and I don't know where to go. Due to budget we have opted to do two ts dinner(or lunch) One we have chosen is Planet Hollywood, we are happy with the menu as it fits out taste perfectly.
I would like to have one special meal in one of the parks. I thought Prime Time but not so sure about being "punished" but the food looks soooo good. Then I thought Sci Fi but have read more bad reviews than good! Where to go? :confused3
I am with 3 teens and myself.
We are a Chili's,chineese and Pizza kind of family. We hate deep dish pizza though. Other than that the usual fried chicken etc. Any ideas? I was thinking maybe a buffet but which one? Please help you guys any advice will be appreciated!

Hi! First of all, IMO, you would do better to eat CS at DTD. Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck Express are both much better than Planet Hollywood IMO, and less expensive.

I am a very adventurous eater, so many of my family's faves wouldn't suit y'all, probably- based on what you said you like, the places I'd recommend off the top of my head are:

Le Cellier, Canada pavilion, Epcot- excellent steakhouse

Crystal Palace, MK- really great buffet and characters, too! IMO, the best sit down in the MK.

50's Prime Time, DHS- good old American comfort food in a fun atmosphere.

Whispering Canyon Cafe, Wilderness Lodge resort- good basic food with fun waitstaff.

Yachtsman Steakhouse, Yacht Club resort- great steaks, pricey but very good!

Prime Time 50's is agreat choice. The 'punishing' is all in good fun and I think they are sensitive to folks if they aren't up for it. My 18 DS is fairly shy and not comfortable being the center of attention, went along with having to stand up and hold a napkin to the wall with his nose - he was caught with his elbows on the table for the third time. He was grinning the whole time. We all had a ball. Our Cm was excellent! Aunt Donna. And the food was excellent.

Go for it, you'll have a fun time.

We loved 50's PT!! We had fun, even though I was forced to eat one more bite of my veggies to get my dessert! It was yummy and we had a blast!

Kona Cafe at the Poly is one of my favs and so is Chef Mickey's at Contemporary

Sci Fi dine in is a neat experience but the food is not that great, maybe lunch would be better, but the atmosphere is cool, like an outside drive in.

The concourse steakhouse is neat, as you eat the monorail goes over you.
