Where do you like to eat? I have had some friends tell me to take the Monorail over to the Poly and eat at the food court-yay/nay? :confused3
Thanks everyone!

For table service one of our favorite restaurants, hands down, is the Crystal Palace. The characters are great, but the food is better, and it's a buffet! (DH has been known to spend 2 hours there!) For counter service, we like Cosmic Ray's for hamburgers and hot dogs.

Yep, Crystal Palace is a great buffet!!

If you are going counter service, I would suggest Columbia Harbor House. Delicious sandwiches (best tuna sandwich I've had in AGES), great fish and chicken fingers combo. Plus there's some really nice seating upstairs. It's one of my favourite CS places in all of WDW.

If you are going to monorail over to the Poly, I would suggest Kona Cafe over the CS there!!

Oh gosh, unless you badly need a park break, don't go to the Poly for lunch. We love lunches at either Columbia Harbour House or Cosmic Rays (LOTS of variety) for a quick service, and as others have said, Crystal Palace is super yummy!

I echo the CHH CS, it always seems like nobody knows its there! usually quiet, and good food!

for us, TS in MK would be liberty tree tavern at lunch (crab cakes, turkey dinner) - CS in MK is columbia harbor house

on the monorail line by MK, we've had lunch/dinner at GF Cafe, dinners at both Narcoosees and Ohanas - all excellent meals

We are great fans of the Columbia Harbor House as well. We also like Peco Bill's for a burger and fries, they have a great fixins bar to customize your burger to your likes.
If you are looking for a TS meal, we really liked the Plaza Restaurant. It is very pretty and restful, it had great sandwiches and wonderful ice cream concoctions.
Have a Great Trip

Our favorite quick meal spot is Columbia Harbor House. It's usually a nice spot to get away from the hustle and bustle.

We weren't impressed with Pecos Bill's.

If you're looking for sit down, I'd go with Crystal Palace. I can't speak about the Poly's lunch, but the only thing we eat at the food court is Tonga Toast for breakfast.

Just to clarify -- Poly does not have a "food court", like the values and moderates do. The deluxes do not have that same type of big court with many choices. The deluxes have a small counter service area, usually with fewer choices and seating. This is because the deluxe resorts have table service restaurants, whereas the values for example do not.

My husband and I are fans of Liberty Tree Tavern for TS. They have a great Colony Salad with chicken, apples, pecans, cheddar, etc.

My favorite CS in MK is Columbia Harbour House--lots of variety and a break from the usual burgers and fries. DH's favorite is Casey's, and while I'm not a fan of hot dogs, I love the corn dog nuggets there. We have some friends that HAVE to eat at Pecos Bill's every time we go to MK with them!

If you need a break and want just simple sandwiches, etc, I would look into the Plaza. It's a nice central location as well for meeting up.
If you want something a little fancier, I'd go with Tony's for non-character unless you're looking after January, then I'd do Liberty Tree.

For CS, most options in the MK are good options and I wouldn't hesitate to stop at any of them. I'm rather partial to Casey's Corn Dog Nuggets, so I like to stop there :)
