Where to eat on our honeymoon

Hello everyone. I will be going to DLR at the end of this month for my honeymoon and I want to make PS for some good resturants. I already booked blue bayou. Any other ideas.

Well if you really want to go all out, the Napa Rose in the Grand Californian is supposed to be incredible. Also Steakhouse 55 at the DLH is nice as is Hook's Pointe in the DLH. If you like Japanese food Yamabuki inside the Paradise Pier Hotel is supposed to be very good.

In DTD, Ralph Brennans, the Uva Bar and Naples are all nice. There is also a House of Blues if you enjoy live music.

Congratulations on getting married, you are starting off right with a honeymoon at Disneyland!

We loved our dinner at the Cheesecake Factory last week. It was so yummy and the drinks were great

Defintitely the Napa Rose. The experience and food cannot be beat. You will enjoy a truly lovely evening.

I've never personally eaten at either - but have heard they are good and they are on my "to do" list - the Vineyard Room or wine county tratorria in DCA. And throw a character breakfast in there for some fun memories!

Plaza Inn Chicken Dinner - the chicken is sooo good and I don't even like chicken. The dinner is yummy!! And if you time it right, sit by the fence, near the castle and you can see the parade or the fireworks!

For a special dinner - certainly Napa Rose.

But it won't be cheap (about $100 a head if i remember correct)

We try and go to the "fancy" resturant at each Disney resort when we go for a special occasion.

How often do you go to a really fancy resturant? Most people don't go often (we certainly don't) and a special event like Honeymoon deserves it.

I'd also suggest going to a character meal (Goofys kitchen for example). Not fancy but special in a different way.

If it were me, I'd skip BB and spend the money on Napa Rose. Food is far superior.

We also like the upstairs dining room at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen. I think they offer outdoor seating as well.

Have heard great things about Catal and since it is owned by Joachim Spichal (I've eaten at another of his restaurants), I would believe it.

We just tried out Wine Country Trattoria and were really pleased. Plus, while not cheap, it was definitely more affordable than we expected it to be. Beautiful patio area.

Definitely do BB! Keep those PS's! I've never been but really want to try Napa Rose. We usually have our kids with us so we do a lot of CS meals to keep it in a budget. But Napa Rose is supposed to be great. Also, at the Garden Walk there is a Bubba Gump, really good and there is also a Joe's Crab Shack on Harbor. Another really yummy place to eat.

We are doing a belated anniv. dinner at Napa Rose. In order to experience BB without it being too too much, we are having lunch there. And we also have PS for Wine Country Trattoria.

Thanks for the help everyone! I will be doing a character meal for sure, i'm thinking storytellers breakfast. We are there for five says so we should be able to get in a lot of those restaurants. Thanks again.

Only if you can get a reservation, I would check dates before you go it is very popular right now as it just opened. DH and I are going to make a date out of that soon.

I will second that the BB food is okay but not great - maybe just go there for drinks and/or dessert (they are okay with this).

We really enjoyed The Vineyard Room which is right above Wine Country Trattoria. The food and service was excellent and we also enjoyed the Pixar Parade from there too (we did stand up along the balcony as the ledge is a it high but we weren't blocking anyone).

We also loved Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen - we had a seat right by the piano player and the food was wonderful!

I would say by far Napa Rose is the most beautiful restaurant at DL. Great service, wonderful food and unique wines.

My next choice would be The Vineyard Room. It is outside and can get a little cool at night. The food is good, but not as good as Napa Rose. Also, it is in the park so you do not have to dress up like you do for Napa Rose.

The other choices that people have mentioned are good: Catal, Yamabuki, Steakhouse 55, and Hooks Point.

I would look at the menus. You cannot go wrong with any of them.

I haven't ever eaten at either of these, but if you are looking for offsite "fine dining" and you have a car, these are close and look snazy. I have always wanted to try then so if you do, let me know if they are worth the price

If you want to stay on property, all the good places have been suggested (and Disney will probably give you some perks like a free dessert or a little something special if they know it is your honeymoon!) Make sure to pick up buttons from guest services or make "Just married" shirts, my husband and I did that on our WDW honeymoon and it was a lot of fun, and got us a few treats. Have an amazing honeymoon!

Thanks everyone, I booked my PS and it looks like this:

Monday- Dinner at Napa Rose
Tues- Lunch at Blue Bayou
Wed-Character breakfast at storytellers
Thurs- Dinner at Wine Country Tratorria (8pm PS outside to watch the Electrical Parade)

I do really want to try yamibuki but I have heard mixed reviews.

Congratulations!!!! I was wondering the same thing as we are going on our Honeymoon in 2 months, starting at Disneyland. I am not sure I want to do fine dining because we are going on a cruise after Disneyland. Thanks for the great suggestions.

Just make sure you are at Storytellers before 10:30 a.m. if you want to see the characters. We went at 10:50 although we were told characters stay until 11:30 Chip and Dale departed for their treehouse before making it to our table.
