Hi all

Sorry if this has been asked before but I would love some ideas!!

The time is fast approaching when I can book my adrs and the one giving me problems is Christmas day!!

I know the parks are going to be busy but the children (14 + 11) still want to spend Christmas day in one. I had thought maybe MGM?

So the question is really where would you suggest to eat Christmas Dinner?

If you're spending the day at MGM I would say Mama Melrose or 50' Prime Time Cafe.

If you're not gonna eat in the park, I would say any of the deluxe restaurants!

We've been at WDW for two Christmas' and have eaten at character meals both times (Crystal Palace in 2004; 1900 Park Fare in 2006).

From what I've read, I'd steer clear of MK that day (when we did it in 2004 it was cold, windy, and poured the majority of the day keeping locals home, so I didn't get a real good sense of a normal Christmas Day there). We went to AK this past Christmas and had a fantastic time. DS was even chosen to open the park.

Most of the restaurants will not have a special Christmas menu, so choose based on the food you want to most eat.

Have a fantastic time. I love WDW at Christmas regardless of how crazy the crowds are. Can't wait until Christmas 2008 for our next holiday trip.

We're thinking of doing 1900 PF for Christmas dinner. Did you enjoy it? Did they have any holiday type food?

Hi all

thanks for the replies. Thinking we should maybe look at the Fantasmic Dinner package? What do you think?

Would also be nice to go to AK on Christmas day as we are staying at AKL at that time but where would we eat at AK?

Julie

If you're staying at AKL, I can recommend Boma for Christmas Day.
We ate there last year and the menu was great - just a few festive touches added to normal menu. We're even trying it for Thanksgiving this year.

I think in the past we have done Tony's, Boatwrights, 'Ohana, and 50's Prime Time Cafe. All the places seemed busy but it was nice when we went to the resorts just to get away from everything for a little bit.

Hi! We're also staying at AKL over Christmas!!
I haven't figured out where we should eat yet either.

My kids are 12 (she'll be 13 by then) & 9.

my family always does liberty tree tavern on christmas eve for dinner (there's about 15 or more of us every year) and then we go to mgm on christmas day, but hop over to epcot for christmas day and have dinner at rose and crown pub. but if you want to stay at mgm, try hollywood and vine for dinner if you want traditional christmas food- it changes over from character dining at dinner time. it's also a good place for christmas breakfast (you can have the characters skip you if you don't want to mess with the playhouse disney characters)

In 2005 we ate at the Liberty Tree Tavern on Christmas Eve and at Chef Mickey's on Christmas.
