this thurs my cousin and his daughter will be in dtd, what do you recommend? she doesn't like dessert so that's a not a draw for her. they're staying at the nick hotel if that helps.

thanks!

If they aren't going to a park they can eat in either DTD or any resort restaurant. A 10yo girl is definitely going to have an opinion, so I would show her a few menus and let her select. From DTD they can take a bus to any WDW hotel and they can get a return bus to DTD too.

For character meals take a look at:
- Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary
- 1900 Parkfare at the Grand Floridian has a really fun Princess dinner
- 'Ohana has a character breakfast, Polynesian hotel
- Cape May has a character breakfast, Beach Club

At Downtown Disney I'd probably go with either:
- Rainforest Cafe
- Trex (new Dinosaur restaurant)

We absolutely loved Chef Mickey's (breakfast 'til about noon, dinner starts around 4 or 5pm).

1900 Park Fare's dinner seems to be just a hoot and starts around 4pm too.

Mod OP might get more responses if this is moved to the Restaurant board!

We have dinner reservations at California Grill for my son's 9th bday. We timed it so we could watch wishes to make it just that much more magical! :wizard:

My son turned 11 and loves seafood so we are trying Fultons this trip!

For my DD's 10 bdy, she picked the afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian. It really depends on the kid. I agree with the pp who said let her take a look at a few menus to get an idea of what she likes. Dad can always narrow it down by price or places (resort, DTD) if he likes. :)
