Where to buy wine near port?

Hi!

We're planning on taking our own wine on board, but don't want to fly it in from Texas. Can anyone recommend a good place to buy wine somewhere between WDW and Port Canaveral? Is it available in grocery stores, or do you have to go to liquor/package stores for it? Any help is appreciated!

You can buy it at the supermarket, Walgreens, and ABC liquor stores. I think some of the larger Walmarts and Kmarts carry it too but I'm not positive on the second one.
There is an ABC in Lake Buena Vista as well as a Winn Dixie, Goodings and Publix. If your are looking at the port, stop at Walgreens, Publix or ABC all right on A1A a few miles south of the port.

I don't know how much extra time you have, but there is a BJ's wholesale club in Merritt Island with a pretty decent wine selection. (probably 15-20 minutes from port) We will be staying there at my sister's house the night before the cruise and that's where we plan on buying our wine!!!

Hi there - there are numberous places to buy wine - the closest place you can go is off Merritt Island on State Road 3 aks Courtenay Pkway - you head south about 1 or so miles and you are surrounded with a number of places - BJ's is a little further and if you are not familiar with the area, I believe I would stay within the realms around Hyway528.

Not sure if this is helpful to anyone but if you're on the Western Magic itinerary we bought wine and liquor in Key West. It is the first port of call and since it is still in the United States (but it doesn't FEEL like it is!) there are no duty or customs issues.

Just be sure to remember your corkscrews!
