We need one that is for VHS tapes. Our little guy is such a chatterbox that even for three hours to WDW it will be worth it!

THey have them at Best Buy and sometimes even at Target. We got ours online, but we got a DVD player instead of VHS. I'll tell you - it was so worth it. It made our 20 hour drive go so smoothly. I am envious that your drive so is short!

Thanks!! We actually live just five minutes from the turnpike. One time we were leaving around 1pm to go to AKL. We weren't even at the turnpike and he started asking if we were almost there. It was so funny!!!! Thank goodness he fell asleep in about a half an hour and slept the whole way!

We have a minivan so I bought a regular 9 inch TV-VCR combo from Circuit City (a no-name brand but it works great!!) and a TV Tote from BJ's to attach it to the seat. It was much cheaper than the TV in a bag and the screen is bigger. It has now found a home in our playroom and the kids fight over who gets to watch the "little" TV.

If you have a minivan or SUV, it's worth a look.

Anything to keep them quiet and occupied in the car, right?

We are driving to WDW in a SUV. We are looking to buy a 9 inch tv/dvd combo. Is it possible to buy a tv tote bag to attach to the seats . If so, where? We find this less expensive than to buy a portable dvd with such a small screen for two kids. TIA:confused:

I bought a great tv/vcr holder at Target. We fold down one part of the back seat of our Explorer and the holder fastens with velcro(very securely) to the mat and it has straps to hold the tv in place and at an incline for easier viewing. It's a life saver during our long 16 hour ride!:D

Does anyone know where to buy a tv/vcr holder on the internet? We live in a small town and I can't find one here. Need it for a trip to the beach in a few days.

We bought a "Video in a Bag" at Target. It only plays VHS tapes (it's not a t.v.). It's in the automotive section of the store. It can be strapped between seats or behind one seat. We also did the tv/vcr combo, but now we don't have the room for it. The Video in a Bag serves the purpose just fine. We just tell DD that we will be at such and such place after she watches two movies!:D

the 9" tv in a bag. i also saw a bag on line, that holds a 9" tv/dvd combo. My question is what kind of minivan do you have? I have a Honda Odyssey, and I measured the distance between my two front seats to hang the bag/tv. Because of the armrests and the fold down tray, I only have about 9.5" width and from what I see on the info for the tv's i think they are bigger. I'm concerned that it wont fit.

has anyone else had trouble with the 9" tv fitting in their minvan?

I bought one on ebay.com for $110. The same guy is now selling them for $125. It was new in the box, and works perfectly fine. Since my daughter also has DVD's i just recently bought (on Ebay) the portable DVD for the bag for only $69.99 (plus $12 s/h) It too works perfectly fine and I'm looking for to driving to Disney World this summer. Hopefully, her with a couple of videos, will make our very long drive from St. Louis, MO.

PS Always check ebay first for comparions prices you'd be surprised what you can get for a real bargain.

Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to give you some hard learned advice. We had a Video in a bag. Bought it on line at samsclub.com for those of you interested. It had 2 tvs that strapped around the headrest and the vcr hung between the seats. It was wonderful!! We paid around $425.00 for it. We wanted the mobile one so we could move it between cars. Had it for about 9 months before someone broke into our car and stole it. This happened less than a month ago. If you buy one of these don't leave it in in full view like we did. They took nothing but the tvs and vcr. Of course insurance will not cover it because it was not permanently attached to the car. (Which defeats the purpose of buying the mobile one) We live in a great area and are heart broken over this. I was just hoping to save someone else the same pain. Good luck on you shopping and trip!!

I was at our local Target tonight and they have the bag without the tv in it for $19.99 on clearence. The reg price was $49.99 , I also saw the small TV with VCR on clearence for $ 69.99 it came with the bag. I drive a PT Cruiser and didnt know where I would put it but I sure thought about it . I dont know if this helps or not .

BTW this was the Target in Grand Prairie Texas off I-20 and Carrier Prkwy

I just bought the 9 in TV (our didn't come with a bag) for $69.99 at target and the bag was on final markdown for $12.48 :) we used it this weekend in our '99 Ford windstart without any problems at all :bounce:

Hey Mad4Mickey-which Target did you find it at??? We live in Irving and I have been looking for one of these?

i've looked on line at Target.com, and they don't have the bags, but they do have the combo tv's. What department are they in at the stores?

It was the Target in Grand Prairie off of I- 20 and Carrier . I was telling some people at work ( I work in Irving off 183) and one of the girls is going to the Target off 183 tonight to look . I will post on Sat to let you know if they have it :D

Target has Eddie Bauer - Audiovox DVD players on sale today. One is like a small notebook computer (7" screen), also plays MP3s and CDs, with 3 hr battery - also hooks up to car or plugs into outlet. The other hooks onto the seat back (5" screen) and will also allow you to hook up your Playstation or other game player, plus play CDs. Hooks up to car or plugs into outlet.

Both were $288. The 5" one comes with a carrying bag. The other has a bag for an extra $24. Headphones are $15 or use other headphones.

These are very compact and lightweight.

You can also purchase extra screens to plug into the unit.
